What If All The Black Holes In The Universe Collided? ► Subscribe: https://goo.gl/r5jd1F Black Holes… These monstrous and seemingly voids of black space suck in everything that gets too close to them; space dust, asteroids, planets, and even entire stars. The nearest one is 1,600 light-years from us. And in the region of the Universe visible from the Earth, there are perhaps 100 billion galaxies. Each one has around 100 million stellar-mass black holes in the center, ready to devour anything that gets close enough to its event horizon. But what would happen if all the black holes in the universe collided? Keep watching to find out. We can’t see them, and some say they might not even exist, but we know that something is there from the behavior of stars that orbit these strange phenomena. Black holes lie at the center of almost every known galaxy. Some of them are active, devouring the galaxy that surrounds it, and some are dormant. The ones that are feeding shoot out massive jets of ionized matter close to the speed of light. These are the brightest objects in the universe, and they are also the largest. Some black holes are so big that it’s almost impossible to comprehend their size. The largest one ever found is 17 billion times the size of our sun. Everything in the Milky Way galaxy, including us, is orbiting a mostly dormant supermassive black hole called Sagittarius A. This massive giant is 4.1 million times the mass of our Sun. It’s 26,000 light-years away from us, and right now as we speak, it’s tearing apart entire star systems and eating five times the mass of the moon every year. That doesn’t sound like very much, and it’s not because Sagittarius A is now a sleeping giant that could awaken if another black hole collided with it. We’re always learning something new about this phenomenon. Some people think that a black hole just sits where it’s at and doesn’t move, but you might be shocked to learn that’s not true. Recently a black hole was spotted in space by the Hubble telescope, it’s large bright ring of gas shining through the darkness of space, and even more surprising, it was moving. For some reason, this black hole was evicted from the center of its galaxy and right now its blasting through space at 1300 miles per second, about 2000 kilometers per second. What that means is there is a rogue black hole flying through space that is estimated to be 1 billion times more massive than our sun. It would take something massive to push this black hole from the center of its galaxy and into space at such speed… another black hole. Black holes aren’t usually traveling through space looking for something to eat. But we now know it’s possible that somewhere from space, a rogue black hole could be heading towards our galaxy, and the collision would be epic on a cosmic scale. There are so many black holes in the universe that it is impossible to count them, and there are even more we have not discovered. If all of the known black holes were to collide together, it would be the end of the universe as we know it. Some of these stellar giants would be so massive that they would easily swallow smaller ones, and become even larger. And if these black holes were like ours and the ones inside the Andromeda galaxy, then you could imagine the incredible cosmic cataclysm if they all collided at once, perhaps creating a black hole so massive that it would suck in the entire universe. Entire stars would be stripped and sucked inside, planets ripped apart, collisions of planets and stars, those star collisions possibly creating more black holes. The moon has been there in orbit ever since pulling on the oceans and seas, creating a tidal bulge, and literally stirring life into creation. So what if we nuked it? Blowing up the moon would have some dire consequences for our planet, somewhat like the film Oblivion where aliens decide the best way to take us out is to destroy the moon. You might not know this, but Russia and the United States both had plans to nuke the moon. Back then the political and cultural tensions between the United States and Russia made such desperate plans seem almost reasonable. In 1958, the Armour Research Foundation developed a plan to nuke the moon with guidance from the United States Air Force. The plan was said to be a study of the possible effects of a nuclear detonation on the lunar surface, and to ultimately judge the effectiveness of nuclear weapons in space. It actually turns out that both sides wanted to explode a nuclear weapon on the surface of the moon as a show of force and strength. We might have not known about all of this if it wasn’t for Carl Sagan who was working on a classified project to detonate a nuclear device on the moon. The Russians also had their own plan called the ‘E Project’. Of course none of this happened and we ended up sending a man to the moon instead. So the idea of nuking the moon isn’t a new idea. The question is why would you want to nuke the moon, and what would happen if we could? Many of you probably already know that we simply don’t have the technology to blow up the moon. What Would Happen If The World Lost Oxygen For 30 Seconds? ► Subscribe: https://goo.gl/r5jd1F You might not know this, but researchers have discovered that oxygen is slowly draining out of the Earth’s atmosphere, right now, and it is a big mystery as to why. Scientists analyzing ice cores from Antarctica and Greenland found that oxygen levels have dropped 0.7 percent in the last 800,000 years. So the Earth is losing oxygen… slowly, but surely. No, that’s not life-threatening… for now. But what would happen if oxygen suddenly vanished, no oxygen in the air, the water, and suddenly no oxygen in any living thing for 30 seconds? Thirty seconds is a long time depending on the situation. Many people don’t understand how long 30 seconds really is and take this tiny bit of time for granted but hold your breath for 30 seconds and you get the idea. But this isn’t about holding your breath. In our thought experiment, all oxygen molecules have vanished… as if it vaporized into nothing… instantly. What would be the consequences and what would happen to humans, plants, tree’s, animals, and the Earth itself? The average human uses about 555 liters of oxygen per day. Losing all the oxygen from your body in an instant would cause some very serious and unwanted side-effects. On average, humans inhale and exhale around 15-times a minute in order to get enough oxygen to stay alive. Could We Turn Mars into Another Earth? ► Subscribe: https://goo.gl/r5jd1F Mars… the red planet sitting out there in our solar system 54.6 million kilometers from the Earth at its closest point to the sun. We have a probe inching along slowly on its surface taking samples, photos, and sending us back information about the planet. The new plan suddenly to send humans to Mars. But is it really possible to transform the red planet into a habitable place for humans and what would it take? We’ll take a look at what the possibilities are and some of the biggest challenges we face. The average temperature on the planet is minus 60 degrees Celcius, that’s minus 80 degrees Fahrenheit. There is a lot of carbon dioxide locked up in Mars poles as dry ice. CO2 is a powerful global warming agent as we know and have experienced here on Earth. But Mars is too far away from the sun for the ice to melt and release those gasses. NASA has talked about creating an artificial magnetic shield above the planet. The idea would be to place a satellite in what’s called the Lagrange Point where the satellite would stay in orbit with the planet. The idea is that the satellite would create a shield that significantly stops solar wind stripping, establish a new atmosphere equilibrium, and reduce the high radiation to the planet’s surface. It’s not known what it would take to create such a satellite and how big it would have to be. Perhaps this magnetic field station would be like the Deathstar from Star Wars. But in other parts of the world unknown to most of us dangerous places that no human would dare venture into. From dangerous searing hot deserts, super volcanoes and lava lakes, to the icy deep freeze of the North and South Pole, we take a look at some of the most extreme and dangerous places known to humans. Danakil Desert in Ethiopia, also including the Dallol Depression, and has many different names like ‘Hell on Earth’, or ‘The Gateway to Hell’. It is the hottest place on Earth stretching across 136,956 square kilometers, about 53,000 square miles. It is a desolate hot volcanic and arid terrain. Rain rarely falls here, and if it does, it’s less than an inch in a year. The average temperature is 34 Celsius and can reach 50 degrees Celsius during the daytime… that’s 122 degrees Fahrenheit. It is a harsh but hauntingly beautiful geographical wonder of salt flats and volcanoes. But deserts and volcanoes are not the only danger to life. Located deep in the heart of Siberia which lies thousands of miles east of Moscow, there is a Russian village called Oymykon which has the lowest recorded temperature in the world for an inhabited location. It is the coldest inhabited town on the Earth with about 500 people living here. Temperatures here have dropped to MINUS -71 °Celcius, that’s MINUS -96.2 degrees °Fahrenheit. But at the same time, it’s also one of the most terrifying inventions ever created. Some say the threat of nuclear war is still very real while others say that it will never happen. But just how much destructive capability would all the world’s nuclear weapons have if they exploded at the same time? Robert J. Oppenheimer was the father of the atomic bomb. He was officially credited by the War Department "with achieving the implementation of atomic energy for military purposes." But after he saw it’s devastating power, which was like nothing anyone had expected, he and others had started to question the work that they accomplished. After the successful detonation of the bomb, he made a statement in which he remembered some text from some ancient Hindu scripture and he was quoted as saying ‘Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds.’ It was the beginning of a frightening new era, and since it’s invention, there has been an ongoing race to see who could build the most powerful nuclear weapon. The RDS-220 hydrogen bomb, also known as the Tsar Bomba, was the biggest and most powerful thermonuclear bomb ever made. It was exploded by the Soviet Union on October 30, 1961, over Novaya Zemlya Island in the Russian Arctic Sea. It was estimated to be a 57-megaton weapon. The bomb was so big that it was said to be more constructing a small house than building a bomb. It was 26-feet long and was 7-feet in diameter and it weighed 60,000 pounds. At the time it wasn’t possible to put this powerful of a warhead on a rocket. It was simply a true display of raw power. During the same time, the United States was testing another weapon. The B-41… also known as the MK-41 was a three-stage nuclear weapon which was a tertiary stage bomb, meaning it had an additional fusion stage compressed by a previous fusion stage. This meant that a bomb could be made with yields as large as desired. The B-41 was 12 feet 4 inches long and was 4 feet 4 inches in diameter with a 25 megaton yield and weighed 10,690 pounds. Despite the terrifying power of these weapons, conventional warheads that missiles are able to carry only have a yield of 1.2 to 1.5 megatons. However, one should not make the mistake thinking that this is not a powerful weapon. Some super heavy intercontinental missiles can carry any number of warheads from a single independent warhead up to 10 warheads. In 1985 there were 70,000 nuclear warheads on the planet either stockpiled or retired. Today there are 14,465 nuclear warheads, and of these, approximately 9,335 are in the military stockpiles. The rest are awaiting dismantlement. 3,750 warheads are deployed with operational forces, of which about 1,800 US, Russian, British and French warheads are on high alert, ready for use on short notice. The current largest nuclear weapon in the US stockpile is a 1.2 megaton yield nuclear weapon, the B83 and Russia have the super-heavy thermonuclear-armed RS-28 Sarmat, or as NATO designates them, the Satan 2 which can be fitted with 10 (ten) 750-kiloton warheads. Most warheads could either be combined on a single ICBM or fitted independently on smaller rockets. If all the nuclear bombs including the ones locked up in bunkers and all the warheads that are deployed in missile silos exploded, they would cause incredible damage and loss of lives despite the fact that some warheads would be in missile silos and in storage bunkers. Some of these warheads would be in nuclear bunkers deep in the ground and the explosions would trigger massive earthquakes. It wouldn’t be much different than an all-out nuclear war except the missiles would be in the ground. Nuclear weapons are configured to detonate in one of two ways, either by ground impact or airburst where the weapon explodes when it reaches a certain altitude. Airburst nuclear explosions can create much more damage and increase the explosion pressure and damage. That is why most nuclear weapons are configured to air burst detonate. But less pressure doesn’t mean less devastation. The crater left from the explosion would be massive. The amount of radioactivity that it would spread would end life as we know it in just days depending on where the explosion was. The explosion might cause a massive tectonic plate movement and there would be massive Earthquakes and volcanos as a chain reaction across the planet began after the explosion. What If The Earth Was Covered In Water? ► Subscribe: https://goo.gl/r5jd1F Water… it has played a crucial role in the emergence of life on our planet. Without water, the Earth would in all likelihood be completely dead. But you might be surprised to find out the same exact thing would happen if the Earth was somehow nothing but oceans. There have been worldwide floods, incredibly powerful hurricanes, and tsunamis which have caused devastating damage to humanity. But the Earth wasn’t always this way. About 2.5 billion years ago, it was almost completely covered by a global ocean with just 2-3% of the surface being dry land compared to the 28% we know of today. The oceans back then were completely devoid of any fish as life had not evolved yet. It was a pretty dull and quiet place with not much happening. There are essentially two types of crust which sit on top of the uppermost layers of mantle – the oceanic crust and the continental crust. All the continents sit on tectonic plates that are floating above a layer of hot molten rock. The crust of the ocean floor is continually created or pushed under and destroyed as the plates drift around and bump into each other. If all the ice covering Antarctica, Greenland, and in mountain glaciers around the world were to melt, sea level would rise about 70 meters or 230 feet. The ocean would cover all the coastal cities. And land area would shrink significantly. But many cities would still survive. Humans and other species might survive if there is some land left above water, but even if so they wouldn’t survive long as most of the remaining water would turn into a giant dead saltwater ocean as we mentioned before. Of course, we could doubt this doomsday prediction because that sounds a little soon, but looking at Hurricane Katrina shows us just how devastating a sudden surge of water can be to a community. If this happens, we would lose all of our clean drinking water as it became polluted with the rising oceans. Fresh water is naturally occurring water on Earth's surface in ice sheets, ice caps, glaciers, icebergs, bogs, ponds, lakes, rivers and streams, and underground as groundwater in aquifers and underground streams. The entire planet surface would become one massive saltwater ocean and virtually every species that lives on land or in freshwater streams rivers or lakes would die and most species would go extinct immediately. And without any land to grow food on, the ability to survive would be slim to none. There are a lot of questions as to how water came into existence on our planet. Some scientists argue that meteors brought water to our planet while others argue that the Earth was born as a water world after its cataclysmic creation from molten rock and asteroid collisions. Regardless of who is right, one thing remains certain; without land AND water, life could not exist as we know it. We live in the perfect balance of both… for now.

We’re not even sure about the exact number of galaxies and stars out there because everything in the known universe slips into the darkness past the event horizon; that region of space-time beyond which events cannot affect us. For all we know, there could be an infinite number of stars. Contrary to popular belief, not all stars explode, and some just die out. But what if something strange and mysterious happened that suddenly caused all the stars in the universe to simultaneously explode? There are a lot of things to consider first before taking on such an experiment such as the different types of stars that exist in the universe, and how many of these different stars there are. To understand what kind of fireworks we would see in the night sky, let’s figure out as best as we can how many stars we would see explode, and what effect it would have on our planet. Supernovae are relatively common. It was once thought that these were the brightest explosions in space, but recently some astronomers have discovered mysterious explosions of stars 10-100 times brighter than a supernova. So how does a star go supernova? The life of a star depends solely on its mass. The more massive a star, the faster it burns up its supply of fuel, hence the shorter its life. Our own Sun is 4.5 billion years old, at half its life expectancy, and it’s been around that long because of its smaller size. It sounds a bit confusing and you would think that the larger the star, the longer it would take to use up its fuel. We have already dealt with powerful effects from the Sun such as solar flares, which are produced by magnetic explosions. These magnetic explosions that produce solar flares on the Sun are as powerful as a billion atomic bombs and magnetar flares release more energy than even the largest supernova explosions. Video editor – I added information about these planetary nebulae because there is a ton of photographs and video online. Of course, if all the stars were to explode, including our own Sun, the effects on the Earth would likely be catastrophic for a few reasons. The massive amount of heat and radiation from the explosion would probably boil the seas dry, and a massive electromagnetic pulse would wipe out all power and communications. It would likely be the end of everything as our planet floated through cold space, or what was left of it and civilization. Some humans could possibly survive underground if the effects of the initial blast didn’t wipe out the entire planet at once. There is no telling what will happen to the universe, and anything is possible when we look at the biggest mystery of all; and that is our universe is permeated with a vast, unseen force that seems to oppose gravity. This force is known as dark energy and is what is pushing our universe outward. It may be possible that one day, in the blink of an eye, that the entire universe could collapse backward on itself into a tiny speck. This Is How Humans Will Become Immortal By 2090 ► Subscribe: https://goo.gl/r5jd1F It’s not known exactly when us humans began to imagine being able to live forever, but it’s probably been thought about for thousands of years since getting old comes with a whole list of problems associated with it. The ancient Greek poet Homer called old age ‘loathsome, and the well-known Shakespeare termed old age as a ‘hideous winter’. There are many scientists and researchers who believe that soon discoveries will be made that lead to immortality and that maybe even stem cell research could reverse the effects of aging since it has great potential. Believe it or not, it’s not known exactly why we age, it just happens and it’s a part of life. Researchers are still trying to understand what actually causes us to grow old and wither away and have looked at aging as if it were a disease. But is it possible to achieve immortality? There are many scientists who say that it’s just a matter of time. In fact, the tech giant Google says that we will probably find out the secret to eternal life by the year 2029. This is the time when its estimated that Nano-bots will be created that will be able to swim through our bodies and fight disease. Even more unbelievable is that Ray Kurzweil, who is Google’s director of engineering, says that medical advancements and technology will advance so much in the next 10 years that we may see humans being given the option to live forever. It’s a pretty bold statement unless you understand the concept of medical Nano-bots. The microscopic bots could one day be used as drug capsules that directly target the disease and deliver the cure without affecting the entire body. Some scientists claim that eventually, we will be able to inject tiny nanoscale machines into our bodies that act like tiny pharmaceutical labs. These tiny robots would be able to detect a problem inside of your body, process your body’s natural enzymes and proteins into a drug, and then deliver it to the problem spot. Imagine never being sick again. Nanotechnology is already capable of some incredible things. At the same time, there are some scientists that say that it’s impossible to biologically live forever because our bodies would age no matter what. Research suggests that by solving one problem the human body ends up with another. There is a normal cell cycle in our body and if good cells are boosted, then cancer cells have a better chance to grow and even more violently. Well even if they are, there are other ways to become immortal. Cryonics is something that has been around for decades and is the science of freezing the body of a person using ultra-cold temperatures stopping decay and putting everything on hold. No, it’s not science fiction and shouldn’t be confused with cryosleep you see in the movies. And for the record for those who are curious, the first human ever frozen by cryonics was Dr. James Bedford, who passed away in 1967 and is still in his cryonic chamber after 50 years. The big question one needs to ask themselves is ‘do I really want to live forever?’ Imagine the things that you would be able to accomplish if you could live as long as you wanted to. Of course, there is that whole ‘afterlife’ thing that a lot of people believe in. What if there is some existence when we leave our bodies and we don’t want to come back? Some of you might think that it will be impossible to bring a frozen person back to life. However, some cool technology has come from the science of cryogenics. Some doctors have come up with a procedure which removes all the blood from a wounded person’s body and replaces it with a really cold saline solution which drops the bodies temperature to around 50 degrees Fahrenheit. It is an absolutely fascinating thing that all of us will eventually experience what happens after we leave this Earth. Maybe there is some kind of glorious afterlife where only our spirit can live, or even perhaps scarier, maybe when we pass away it’s as if we simply flipped off the light switch. There are a lot of questions when it comes down to being immortal. If you could suddenly live forever, have your brain moved into a robot, or upload your consciousness into a computer…. But first of all, we should mention that there is no landing ON the sun since it’s mostly made up of hydrogen gas and it has no solid surface. Besides this fact there is also the scorching temperatures to deal with, not to mention the intense radiation, solar wind, and other energy particles that come from our star. To get people there on some kind of spaceship without melting, burning, or even self-destructing, would take quite a lot of technology that we currently don’t have. But that doesn’t mean we can’t send something close to the sun to study it. Scientists have been waiting for over 60 years for technology to advance enough so that we could get a closer look. That is where the Parker Solar Probe comes in. This remarkable probe was built with cutting-edge technology that is simply incredible and it is currently racing towards Venus where it will begin its orbit with the star. This mission to study the sun will be one of mankind’s greatest achievements. The primary goals of the mission will trace how energy and heat move through the solar corona, and to try and discover what accelerates solar wind and other solar energetic particles. The probe will also measure the Sun’s magnetic fields. The other interesting thing that scientists want to know is why the sun’s surface temperature is far less than the corona around the sun. Scientists understand that it has something to do with the Suns magnetic field that connects the sun’s surface to its outer atmosphere. It’s a key mystery to understanding the Sun and solar physics, and with the probes help, we’re about to figure it out. What we do know is that the Sun is basically a big hydrogen gas fusion bomb 93 million miles away from Earth with a surface temperature of 5600° Celsius, which is 4000° higher than the melting point of steel. That’s 7232 degrees Fahrenheit with a core temperature of 27 million degrees Fahrenheit. And if you weren’t sure just how big the sun is, you could fit 1.3 million Earth inside it. It’s big, it's hot, and getting anywhere close to it has been a serious challenge… Until now. The spacecraft is supposed to go into its first orbit with the star on November 2018 and get closer to the sun on 24 different approaches each one swinging it closer into the Sun's atmosphere or the Sun's ‘corona.’ That glowing halo of plasma extends about 5 million miles into outer space around the Sun. It’s a bit hard to see it unless you’re using a coronograph or looking at the sun during a total solar eclipse. The probe will have to withstand incredible amounts of heat and radiation, but it will zip in towards the sun to measure and gather data. The probe will also have to withstand being bombarded by tiny fast-moving particles, some of which will hit the spacecraft. To fix this problem the Parker Probe is fitted with Kevlar blankets to protect itself from impacts. When the mission is over, the Parker Probe will end up going out in style. Like Cassini plunged into Saturn’s atmosphere, or the Magellan satellite became part of Venus, the Parker probe will eventually become part of the object that it went to study. What If A Large Asteroid Was Headed To Earth? ► Subscribe: https://goo.gl/r5jd1F There have been many movies and stories about the end of the world, and while some of these stories about how the Earth will meet some apocalyptic fate are pure fantasy, nothing can be more real or terrifying as the threat of a killer asteroid; one that is big enough, and moving fast enough that its impact on the Earth would be the end of everything as we know it. Everyone has heard about the Asteroid that wiped out the Dinosaurs 65 million years ago. Imagine sunrise on the last day of the Mesozoic era, 66 million years ago. Shafts of sunlight rake through the swamps and forests along the coast of what is now Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula. As the dinosaurs and other living creatures’ squawk, buzz, and stir to life, an asteroid the size of a mountain is hurtling toward Earth at about 40,000 miles, or 64,000 kilometers an hour. For a few fleeting moments, a fireball appears streaking through the sky, it is far bigger and brighter than the sun. An instant later, the asteroid slams into Earth with an explosive yield of over 100 trillion tons of Trinitrotoluene. Upon crashing into the planet, the impact penetrates Earth’s crust to a depth of several miles and gouging a crater more than 115 miles or 185 kilometers across while vaporizing thousands of cubic miles of rock. It creates a huge dust plume that completely covers the globe, blocking out all sunlight. Temperatures in the vicinity are so high that it literally cooks anything living alive within seconds. The event then sets off a chain of global catastrophes. Now just imagine for a moment an object much bigger, could be a million to a trillion times more powerful. But it would need to be a much bigger rock. An asteroid is big enough that it is sometimes called a minor planet or planetoid. There are millions of asteroids orbiting the sun and some of these asteroids can be hundreds of kilometers wide: The asteroid Ceres, sometimes referred to as a dwarf planet, is 940 kilometers or 584 miles wide. However, scientists estimate that an asteroid would have to be just 96 kilometers or about 60 miles wide to completely eradicate all life on our planet. We have found 90% of the 1 kilometer or larger asteroids. But it is estimated that there are tens to hundreds of thousands more out there that we cannot see, many hidden by the sun. One day we might wake up to the news that a ‘global killer’ asteroid is headed our way. It is not a matter of if it will happen, but only a matter of when. In real life, asteroids and comets that could hit Earth are called NEO’s or "near-Earth objects", and these objects do pose a threat to life on the planet. Some of you may have seen the movie Armageddon that is about an asteroid the size of Texas that is headed towards the Earth. The idea to save mankind is to drill a deep hole and drop a nuclear weapon into the drilled hole, therefore fracturing and splitting the giant rock in two. But in order to blow up an asteroid the size of the one in the film, the bomb would have to explode with the same amount of energy as produced by the sun. This idea just wouldn’t be possible and even if you could create such a powerful weapon, it would be more dangerous than the asteroid itself. To many people, "gravitational tractor" may sound like some made-up technology, but the premise is fairly simple. Every object in the universe exerts a gravitational pull, including asteroids and man-made spacecraft. Gravity may be one of the weakest forces in the universe, but is also the most "ready-to-use" since all you need is a little mass. Therefore, it makes sense to unleash it against asteroids. Theoretically, all we'd have to do is navigate a hefty robot close to the asteroid and tow it away with the gentle pull gravity. And while all these ideas sound like they might work, it may turn out that there might be nothing we can do about an asteroid impact. The next time the asteroid will pass close to Earth will be on October 26th, 2028. It is predicted it will be about two and a half times the Moon’s distance from Earth at its closest point. It is estimated to be about a mile wide and is traveling at a speed of 48,000 kilometers or 30,000 miles per hour. But you can rest easy, NASA says that it will not affect the planet in any way. But just imagine for a moment being in the vastness of space, your life has just begun... No Earth, no air… and no planetary gravity to hold you down or restrain you. You are simply born into the cold, black, and unforgiving conditions of outer space. It sounds a little lonely, and a bit scary. But what would it really be like to be born in outer space? First of all, a pregnant woman would not be advised, nor are they currently permitted by NASA to travel into space. In fact, astronauts must be in top physical shape to withstand the rigors of space travel. Before lift-off, they are required to undergo elaborate survival training, and they also go through rigorous physical exercise, and intense medical exams. Furthermore, learning how to spacewalk takes place underwater, and requires a lot of stamina and endurance. For a very fit athlete, these challenges are difficult enough, but being pregnant would probably render an astronaut incapable of performing any of these tasks. Secondly, if an astronaut weren't already pregnant, conception is nearly impossible in space. The weightless environment would be a challenge for couples to stay attached. They would have to be anchored down, not only to the space vehicle itself, but also to each other, which would be extremely awkward. Fertilization of an egg would be nearly impossible within a weightless environment. Even if it did happen, fluid flow to the embryo would be also interrupted, making it nearly impossible to gestate and develop a baby to full term. We hope you enjoyed this video. What Would Happen If All Ice On Earth Melted? ► Subscribe: https://goo.gl/r5jd1F Many people have wondered what would happen if all the glacial ice on the planet melted. Some believe that it would be a water world with no land in sight, while others think that could never happen. But the Earth is changing in more ways than you might think on its own. Many might wonder how much of the Earth’s current global warming trend is affected by humans. Regardless of who is to blame, whether the planet is just going through a natural phase in its evolution, or if we are responsible, the evidence shows that the planet is getting warmer and warmer every year. But just how much of the planet could end up covered in water if all the glacial ice melted? The Arctic isn’t the same as it was today as it was, say… 100 years ago. Temperatures there have been rising at twice the normal rate which has been sparking some very alarming changes unlike anything seen in recorded history. 87% OF Antarctica Peninsula Glaciers have melted since 1945. Now the regions sea ice is declining by 13% percent each decade. Scientific predictions that foresaw an ice-free Arctic Ocean during the summer between 2040 and 2050 may come to pass even sooner than we thought. A lot of people will think ‘well that’s no big deal… just get everyone to move to higher ground’. Sounds like a simple solution. However, aside from the fact that billions of people would be displaced, there would be more to worry about now that all the Arctic ice has melted. What is not commonly known is that the Earths’ poles not only get less direct sunlight than lower latitudes, but the sea ice is white, and therefore reflects most of the sunlight that hits it back out into space. That reflectivity called ‘albedo’ helps keep the poles cold and limits the heat absorption from the Sun. But that’s not all. Scientists have known for a long time that the Arctic tundra and marine sediments contain large frozen deposits of methane gas which, if released into the atmosphere, will increase greenhouse gases. So as the Arctic Sea ice melts, this source of methane will increase. Think runaway greenhouse effect which likely helped destroy the atmosphere on Mars along with the solar winds that stripped the planet of its atmosphere. But that’s not all. During this time there could be massive Earthquakes if the ice melted fast enough. One of the more uncommonly known things is that all that ice has some serious weight and suppression to it, and it has been holding down the Earth, and global warming has already bled the frigid continent of about 2.7 trillion tons of ice with over half those losses occurring in the last 5 years. Most climate scientists agree the main cause of the current global warming trend is human expansion of the greenhouse effect… warming that results when the atmosphere traps heat radiating from Earth toward space. Some of the things you can do are to buy anything reusable and be conscious of garbage and waste and try to recycle everything. Saving gas by walking more or taking the bus can help, as well as planting trees. But it takes more than just a handful of people to make a change, it takes everyone to make an impact. Perhaps humanity will embrace this global threat on our planet and governments will act fast enough to possibly reverse the damage.
