One of the hardest endurance sports, cross country skiing, hand in hand with the precise concentration controlled element of shooting." Lee Jackson FIRE AND ICE is a cinematic documentary profiling Lee Jackson, a British Olympian and two time British Biathlete of the year. The film follows his demanding training regime as he pushes his body to the limit in a gruelling daily routine as he seeks to constantly better his last result and in 15 years of training has achieved what many take a lifetime. Battling the elements throughout the year to become the best he can be, is just part of the challenge as Lee combats the skills of endurance, accuracy and speed to master the opposing disciplines of both cross country skiing and precision shooting. "Trying to master all these individual sports is one thing but to be able to do them all at the same time is something completely different...The transition from the physical effort to being calm to being able to hit the five targets is the most important thing...You can't out ski that missed target" Where skiing requires full to the limit speed and pure physical endurance, an abundance of adrenaline and sheer determination when the body leaves you with nothing but will power; Lee needs to juxtapose this with a clear head and pin point accuracy of a steady hand to hit those targets, each one, every time. Watch a hero come to life through gruelling training of both physical endurance and mental stamina in the latest Portraits of Achievements series, following on from the award winning 'Man at Sea' and 'For the Love'. http://www.dunhill.com

This collection celebrates the idiosyncratic twists that English men bring to the most formal of wardrobes. The caddish flamboyance of David Niven, whose book 'The Moon’s a Balloon' reveals that the actor put as much imagination into expressing himself in words as in clothing; the simultaneously aloof and chumpish charm of the British princes in their youth, in particular Charles, who inherited from his father a dapper way with the conventions of royal dress; the ability to combine checks of different scales and carry it off, so expertly demonstrated by Edward VIII. These characters represented an enthusiasm for fashion among English men that is frequently overlooked. A style where to dress down for the weekend is to dress up; an understated uniform whose military roots still shine in the brass buttons of a blazer and whose eccentricities are expressed in the patterns of the tie and the pocket square. “It’s an age-old cult of individuality whose heart still beats untouched in London’s Jermyn Street – home to traditional men’s clothing and grooming; home to dunhill, for over a century – and whose characters advertise their individual allegiances in the gang colours of the club tie.” John Ray, Creative Director dunhill

This season dunhill recalls the traditions of English country pursuits and town appropriate dressing. The British masculinity inherent to the dunhill aesthetic finds evolution through an innate sense of wearability; luxurious cashmere knits are appropriately layered for purpose under a motoring-inspired leather blouson or a traditional military-inspired overcoat, whilst classical British tailoring is offered in sumptuous wool cloths and perennial cuts. The Flying Scotsman, now in its eighth year, is so called because the first run in 2009 followed roughly the route - from London to Edinburgh - of the famous Flying Scotsman locomotive, once the fastest way from the Metrop to the Highlands. Part Downton Abbey and Part Mad Max, this is a real test of endurance for cars that by rights should be pushing up daisies. This year, co-driver Nick Sullivan (Fashion Director of Esquire US) and driver Simon Arscott (Churchill Classics) drove a 1926 Bentley 4 1/2 Litre, wearing a Motorities-inspired dunhill wardrobe. This is their story. Visit The Club at dunhill.com to read Nick's hands-on account of Britain's most glamorous vintage car rally.
