Pensioner, 72, left baffled as to who was tidying his garden shed at night is stunned to discover the culprit was a house proud #mouse he's nicknamed 'Metal Mickey' Stephen Mckears, 72, noticed objects kept moving in his south Gloucester shed The pensioner would empty a plastic tub of small metal objects on to his bench By the morning all the metal objects would have moved back in to the plastic tub Mr Mckears and his neighbour filmed overnight and saw it was a mouse tidying By EMER SCULLY FOR MAILONLINE PUBLISHED: 13:05 GMT, 18 March 2019 | UPDATED: 13:11 GMT, 18 March 2019 #Animals that clean are usually confined to films and fairy tales. But a tiny mouse has been filmed tidying a pensioner's garden shed. Stephen Mckears, 72, noticed things moving in his shed in Severn Beach, South Gloucester a month ago. The retired electrician saw plastic clips appear in an old ice cream tub filled with peanuts which he keeps to feed the birds. Mr Mckears and his neighbour filmed the mouse tidying away the metal objects from around midnight to 2.30am - an activity it has been doing every night for around a month The mouse tidies away large bolts from the counter. Every day Mr Mckears would return to his shed to find the metal pieces had been moved into the tub overnight Caught in the act: Questioning his sanity, Mr Mckears emptied the tub, scattering the nuts and bolts across his shed, only to discover the mess had been cleaned by the morning The mouse tidies away large bolts from the counter. Every day Mr Mckears would return to his shed to find the metal pieces had been moved into the tub overnight And each night more objects began to accumulate. Questioning his sanity, Mr Mckears emptied the tub, scattering the nuts and bolts across his shed, only to discover the mess had been cleaned by the morning. After weeks of finding large screws, plastic leads, nuts and bolts neatly filed away, he decided to set up a trail camera to uncover the mystery guest. He asked his neighbour Rodney Holbrook, 70, to help him film what was going on in his shed overnight. Mr Mckears and his neighbour were left baffled when the footage showed an adorable mouse busily tidying the shed - even attempting to lift objects twice his size. Mr Mckears asked his neighbour Rodney Holbrook, 70, to help him film what was going on in his shed in South Gloucester overnight The mouse gets ready to leap up and deposit this metal piece into the plastic tub Mr Mckears, from Severn Beach, South Gloucs., said: 'I've been calling him Brexit Mouse because he's been stockpiling for Brexit. 'The heaviest thing was the plastic attachment at the end of a hose pipe - and the chain of an electric drill. 'I didn't know what it was at first. The kids were saying it was a ghost. 'One day I emptied the tub out and spread the contents on the side - and the the next day they were all back in again. I thought I was going mad.' Stephen Mckears, 72, saw plastic clips appear in an old ice cream tub filled with peanuts which he keeps to feed the birds. Over time more objects appeared in the tub Mr Holbrook, who lives just a few minutes drive from his friend, is a keen wildlife photographer and said he had to see the DIY mouse for himself. He said: 'I've been calling him Metal Mickey but some people have been saying he's just mouse proud. 'I was quite amazed to see it - it is an amazing mouse. 'Steve asked if he could use my trail camera to film whatever it was that was moving the objects in his shed. 'The mouse was chucking things into the box - we thought it was a ghost or something at first. I thought I have to see this for myself.' The pair filmed the mouse tidying away the metal objects from around midnight to 2.30am - an activity it has been doing every night for around a month. Stephen added: 'It was doing it for about two hours that night - he must have had to go for a sleep after it. 'I've seen a mouse moving objects to make a nest but never metal objects. It's quite amazing. 'It's still busy doing it now.' Share or comment on this article: #Pensioner, 72, left baffled as to who was tidying his garden shed at night discovered it was a mouse

Bold turkey! Very responsible bird stands guard in the middle of the road for all of his friends to safely cross An authoritative turkey was caught on video behaving like a stern crossing guard on a busy two-way road in Litchfield, New Hampshire, on Thursday The puffed out bird follows a few of his feathered friends but stops near the double yellow lines to look down the road as others pass by He stands in the same spot the entire time until the last of the turkey troop passes him by, and he turns to follow them off of the asphalt By MICHAEL NAM FOR DAILYMAIL.COM PUBLISHED: 13:11 GMT, 18 March 2019 | UPDATED: 13:41 GMT, 18 March 2019 Birds of a feather stuck together as an impressive male turkey was recorded standing guard in a busy road to let his fellow fowls cross safely. Driver Donald Pomerleau captured the video of the unusual crossing guard and its group of turkeys from a car on a Litchfield, New Hampshire, last Thursday. The footage shows the puffed out male (or tom) turkey follow a group of possibly females and young males before taking up a spot near the double yellow lines. And he seems to be doing a good job, as a queue of cars wait patiently for the group of birds to cross. The feathered crossing guard stands watch on a road in Litchfield, New Hampshire, on March 14 as a group of wild turkeys makes their way across the street Other than the guardian turkey, a dozen of the birds can be seen on the video. The tom stands watchful and still letting more turkeys cross safely, and only ends his vigil to follow the last turkey crossing the road. Wild turkeys had disappeared from New Hampshire 150 years ago due to habitat loss and the lack of hunting regulations, according to state's fish and game department. New Hampshire Fish and Game started to transplant wild turkeys into the state more than four decades ago, and the population is now estimated around 25,000 birds. The driver, Donald Pomerleau, recorded the turkey crossing and its steadfast guardian from his car waiting for the march to conclude The impressive tom turkey stood in the same spot for the duration of the crossing The other birds quickly make their way through the stalled traffic to reach the safety of the snowy, wooded side As the last of the birds crosses, the tom twirls around and accompanies his fellow fowl off of the road #animal Share or comment on this article: Very responsible #bird stands guard in the middle of the road for all of his friends to safely cross #news

Relatives laid the baby girl to rest believing she had died at birth. But a harrowing video shows two officers kneeling over a hole in the ground in the dark with only a torch light to see as they shovel dirt away from the top of the baby's head. Police expected to find a dead body but were shocked to hear a tiny whimper as they scraped away the earth. Using their bare hands to shift the dry soil, agents pulled the child out of a 50cm deep hole around 10pm on Tuesday. A newborn baby, buried alive for eight hours, was miraculously dug out from a shallow grave by police in Brazil She emerged caked in mud still attached to her umbilical cord and struggling to breath after being underground for a lengthy period. The tot was rushed to hospital with paramedics clearing her airways and administering oxygen in the ambulance. Doctors transferred her to intensive care following tests and scans and said the resilient child is making good progress despite her traumatic start to life. Psychedelic tourism thrives in Peru with thousands of... Officers were alerted to the incident after receiving an anonymous tip off that the death of the newborn had not been reported to the relevant authorities. They went to the family's home in Canarana, central west Brazil, to investigate the allegation and to search the grounds. A harrowing video shows two officers kneeling over a hole in the ground in the dark with only a torch light to see as they shovel dirt away from the top of the baby's head She emerged caked in mud still attached to her umbilical cord and struggling to breath after being underground for a lengthy period The tot was apparently born around midday to a 15-year-old Brazilian indigenous Indian girl. The young mother said she was alone in the bathroom when her contractions started. She claimed her daughter arrived quickly and fell onto the bathroom floor hitting her head. The infant suffered two cranial fractures which are being monitored by paediatricians at Agua Boa Regional Hospital. When the baby apparently failed to cry after being born, the 57-year-old great grandmother, named as Kutz Amin, allegedly told police she believed the baby was dead. She claimed she followed tribal customs and wrapped the girl in a cloth and buried her in the backyard. The tot was apparently born around midday to a 15-year-old Brazilian indigenous Indian girl According to police the family admitted failing to report the baby's death but 'believed they were following traditional customs' so did not hesitate to point out where the unmarked grave was. Canarana's military police chief, João Paulo Bezerra do Nascimento said to G1: 'The child was buried around 2pm but we were only called to investigate the incident late that night. This was worrying because it was many hours after the event. The chief admitted to being alarmed by the family's handling of the situation and amazed at the tot's survival. He said: 'What shocked me most was how the little girl survived under the earth for as long as eight hours. It's nothing short of a miracle. 'We were digging out the hole when we suddenly heard a small cry underground and realised she was alive. It was a thrilling and unforgettable moment.' The infant suffered two cranial fractures which are being monitored by paediatricians at Agua Boa Regional Hospital As one scoops handfuls of dirt out of the hollow area and the other uses a hoe to scrape the loose earth away, the baby lets out a faint cry. Shouting excitedly: 'She's alive, call the ambulance', the officers frantically increase the urgency of their mission.. Then, slowing down the pace to limit any possible damage to the little mite, Chief Nascimento slides his fingers under the baby's arms which are by her head and begins to pull her out. To everyone's amazement, the tot is extracted from her tomb without any major injuries. The teen mother was questioned by police and has been hospitalised with complications following her unsupervised delivery. Investigators revealed they arrested the great-grandmother on charges of attempted murder. She is expected to appear in court on Thursday. Share or comment on this article:

Traffic barrier falls to the ground like dominoes after jaywalker climbs onto it to cross the road

Tumbling like dominoes! Jaywalker triggers a spectacular #chain reaction when he tries to climb over a traffic barrier Railing comprising 30 barriers collapsed in the middle of a busy road The incident occurred after a pedestrian mounted the structure in China He wanted to take a shortcut to the other side by climbing over the fence But he fell back and his leg was stuck in a gap, causing the railing to fall By TRACY YOU FOR MAILONLINE PUBLISHED: 15:05 GMT, 15 March 2019 | UPDATED: 15:21 GMT, 15 March 2019 The last thing jaywalkers want is for everybody on that street to stare at them. A man who tried to take a shortcut while crossing a busy road in China was caught in one such awkward moment when he caused a massive traffic barrier to collapse. The railing comprised 30 separate traffic barrier which were tied together, according to local traffic police. The pedestrian climbs onto the railing as he tries to take a shortcut across the road in China Seconds later, he loses balances and fall backwards while one of his legs gets stuck in a gap As a result, the entire railing, comprising 30 separate barriers, collapse to the ground The road user was attempting to go to the other side of the road by climbing over the railing between traffic lanes. But as he mounted the temporary fence, he lost balance and fell backwards. One of his legs was stuck in a gap, which caused the entire railing to collapse from the middle. He tried to lift up the railing and put it back to place, but failed. The incident took place last month on Yuehua Road, a thoroughfare in the city of Shenzhen in southern China. The police said the pedestrian walked away after the failed jaywalk attempt. The police released footage of the incident today on Weibo, the Chinese equivalent to Twitter, to warn the public of the danger of disobeying traffic regulations. Shenzhen traffic police have released footage of a similar incident in the same location The video also featured another similar incident, which occurred in the same location the day before. The earlier event saw one man pushing over the railing in order to cross the road quickly in the wee hours. Zhuhai Traffic Police said they had identified the two men using facial-recognition cameras. They are now searching for them. The police said the two jaywalkers had been blacklisted and would be penalised. How do Chinese police catch criminals with facial-recognition sunglasses? In China, the police are now wearing sunglasses equipped with facial-recognition technology to catch criminal suspects. Transport police in Zhengzhou, central China, were given the cutting-edge gadgets in 2018 to screen passengers and spot suspects in crowds at train stations. A camera connected to the smartphone-like shades would allow the officers to take mugshots of the individual in question and compare them to a database back at headquarters. Transport police in Zhengzhou, central China were given the cutting-edge gadgets in February to screen passengers and spot suspects in crowds at train stations The system would then bring up the suspect's personal information including name, ethnicity, gender and address. All the information would be transferred back to the officer's glasses. The glasses can also tell officers whether or not the targets are on the run from the law, the address of any hotel they are staying at and information related to their internet usage. This is part of China's efforts to build a digital surveillance system that uses a variety of biometric data - from photos and iris scans to fingerprints - to keep close tabs on the movements of its 1.4 billion population. The technology has since allowed police in Zhengzhou to nab seven suspects. They were accused of crimes ranging from human trafficking to hit-and-runs. Another 26 people were caught using fake IDs, according to the state-owned People's Daily, quoting the city's police department. The facial recognition sunglasses system was expanded to Beijing in March as well, particularly at highway checkpoints on the city's outskirts. The smart glasses can pick up facial features and car registration plates, and match them in real-time with a 'blacklist' of suspects, according to Reuters. The rapid development of the technology has triggered a demand for commercial applications as well, with gyms, restaurants and even public toilets getting in on the facial recognition game. Distressed locals in Hamelin Bay rushed to the seafront when they spotted 150 short-finned pilot whales, some of which had crashed into rocks on the beach. One woman told the Daily Mail Australia when they initially got to the beach, they assumed all the animals were dead before noticing some were still desperately trying to get back into the water. But, the whales who survived being washed up were caught on blood-soaked rocks or stuck behind dead animals, unable to move. A warning has been issued for people not to get in the water, with experts fearing deadly sharks could encroach on the shoreline to feast on the carcasses. Katherine Brazeau, 46, violated a restraining order filed by her therapist Jacki Stevens when she went to her office in Los Angeles armed with a hunting knife in May last year. Surveillance footage, the 911 audio and bodycam footage related to the deadly incident was only released on Thursday as the Orange County District Attorney's Office announced the two officers had been cleared of any wrongdoing. Brazeau was captured on surveillance video walking into her therapist's office on the morning of May 31 carrying the huge knife in her hand. 'I've been stabbed,' the therapist could be heard yelling in a recording of the 911 call. Meanwhile, Brazeau could be heard in the audio telling the therapist: 'You're going to be dead.' The bodycam footage from the two Fullerton police officers who responded to the scene showed them having to kick in the door to the therapist's office after Brazeau barricaded herself inside with the victim. After the officers were able to force their way in, they found Brazeau standing over the therapist who was screaming for help from her chair. Pictured above is one of the officers firing their gun at Brazeau The district attorney's office said Stevens had been treating Brazeau since 2015 for a traumatic brain injury, borderline personality disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder and bipolar disorder. Brazeau threatened the therapist and self-harm in February last year after Stevens told her she could no longer be her patient. The therapist cited Brazeau's 'self-destructive decisions' as the reason for not treating her anymore. The therapist was granted a restraining order in March but Brazeau repeatedly sent Stevens text messages and emails. The district attorney said Brazeau told officers just one day before the incident that she was 'probably extremely intoxicated' when she violated the order. Following an investigation into Brazeau's shooting death, the district attorney ruled there was no criminal conduct by the two responding officers. In a special that will air this Friday, Tiana Carruthers and Abigail Kopf detail the terrifying day back in February 2016 that they encountered Jason Dalton for the first time, and almost lost their lives. Carruthers recalls the disturbed and deranged Uber driver at one point by stating: 'The devil is alive.' Dalton told investigators after he was arrested that a 'devil figure' on Uber was controlling him when he killed six people in between driving passengers for the app. He was sentenced to life in prison earlier this month. Terror: Tiana Carruthers (above) and Abigail Kopf detail the terrifying day back in February 2016 that they encountered Jason Dalton during his massacre in Michigan Miracle: The women were only the two survivors of Dalton's rampage through Kalamazoo which left six dead 'I just kept hearing bullets, just bang, bang,' says Carruthers in a preview of the episode obtained by DailyMail.com. She later breaks down in tears while recalling how she was forced to will herself to stay alive. 'I just kept telling myself, "god you're going to make it. You can make it,' says the mother. Later that day another mother was praying as well that he daughter would defy the odds and come back from the dead. 'I almost died, and my mom was a basketcase,' remembers Kopf, whose heart had stopped beating before she suddenly came back to life. Dalton, 48, pleaded guilty to murder and attempted murder last month, just as jury selection was about to begin in his trial. Michigan has no death penalty, so he was guaranteed to receive the mandatory life sentence at Tuesday's hearing in a Kalamazoo County court. Dalton admitted shooting eight people in three locations in between picking up passengers for Uber. Four women were killed in the parking lot of a Cracker Barrel restaurant: Barbara Hawthorne, Dorothy "Judy" Brown, Mary Lou Nye and her sister-in-law, Mary Jo Nye. Rich Smith and his 17-year-old son, Tyler Smith, were fatally shot while looking at a pickup truck in a dealer's lot. 'I see pain in your hatred,' Carruthers said to Dalton during the hearing, as she tried to get him to look at her. She later told the man who almost ended her life: 'I hate myself for hating you.' Dalton was deemed competent to stand trial and had dropped an insanity defense just before his trial was scheduled to start. He has never explained why he randomly shot eight people. The father-of-two had worked as an insurance adjuster and had no criminal record before the shootings. A gun shop owner said Dalton bought a jacket with an inside pocket designed to hold a gun just hours before the rampage. He said Dalton was 'laughing and joking' at the time, and even offered up a 'one-armed hug' to the manager before making the purchase. The Deadly Ride will air air on 20/20 at 9pm on Friday, February 22. Share or comment on this article: Hero mother and miracle teen who survived Uber massacre speak out

Thousands could still be inside last scrap of ISIS territory

'They're coming from underground... they're never-ending': Thousands are feared to still be inside ISIS camp as #US forces close in on crumbling 'caliphate' US-backed forces have forced the militants into the last scrap of land as they are pushed out of the 'caliphate' The coalition forces have been hoping that each day would be the last for ISIS but doubts have now emerged 12,000 people from Baghouz arrived in one camp for non-combatants in northern Syria in the past 48 hours Head of US Central Command, warned many of those evacuating are 'unrepentant, unbroken and radicalised' By MIRANDA ALDERSLEY FOR MAILONLINE and AFP PUBLISHED: 12:29 GMT, 9 March 2019 | UPDATED: 12:39 GMT, 9 March 2019 Tens of thousands of dust-covered women, children and men have streamed out of the ragged tent encampment that is the last ISIS stronghold in the Syrian village of Baghouz since December - and despite that exodus they still keep on coming. US-backed fighters have been hoping for weeks that the final day has come for the ISIS 'caliphate', but its last tiny sliver of land just won't seem to empty, flummoxing the Kurdish-led forces and bogging down their offensive to finish off the once sprawling proto-state. 'When we began the operation we knew there would be civilians, but not in such a big number,' Adnan Afrin, a spokesman for the Syrian Democratic Forces, said Thursday. In recent days thousands more men and women - including those who once flocked to join IS from across the globe - left the IS pocket, upending assumptions that only a few families remained holed up in Baghouz and those who refused to leave or surrender were choosing to die there. 'They're coming from underground... they're never-ending,' said one SDF official. A still from a video released by the Free Burma Rangers showing people moving between tents in a makeshift camp in the last ISIS-controlled piece of territory in Syria's Baghouz #news ISIS forces fleeing the village of Baghouz in the eastern Deir Ezzor province have been cornered into a small piece of land between US-backed forces and a riverbank Questions remain as to how aid planners, as well as SDF officials and their coalition partners, could have so severely underestimated the number of people left in the crumbling 'caliphate'. The International Rescue Committee on Friday said as many as 12,000 people from Baghouz have arrived in one camp for non-combatants in northeast Syria over the past 48 hours, including some 6,000 people on Thursday alone. The women trucked out of the bastion this week gave drastically varying figures on the holdout families that remain in the bombed-out and besieged jihadist bastion. 'There's still more,' said Umm Aboud from the northern Syrian city of Al-Bab. 'You see how many people have come out in the past few days, there's that many still inside,' said the mother of four, her bright green eyes peering through a black veil. 'The IRC and other agencies are doing all they can do help the new arrivals but Al-Hol camp is now at breaking point,' the organisation said Friday. 'No one could have guessed that such a large number of women and children were still living in Baghouz.' The 24-year-old will drive the No. 43 car for Richard Petty Motorsports on Sunday. Wallace had driven the iconic No. 43 car to a third-place finish in a Daytona 500 qualifying race, setting off a celebration for Richard Petty Motorsports almost worthy of winning NASCAR's marquee race itself. The King strolled to the pits and hugged Wallace. The 80-year-old Petty wrapped his arm around Wallace , and they walked off smiling toward what each side hoped was the start of a fruitful alliance. 'I just had a guard walk me from pit road to the media center. His name is Richard Petty. I've never seen him so excited in my life,' Wallace said. 'I know a lot of people have given him not a lot of credit in the offseason,' Blaney said. 'I think he proved himself (at Daytona) that he should be here and deserves to be here. Shocking dash cam footage shows Christopher Khalfan, 22, being pursued by officers for almost 15 minutes as he hits breakneck speed along residential roads. He can be seen crashing into five cars dangerously overtaking on the wrong side of the road and as he tries to give police the slip on January 21. The dramatic chase finally came to an end when two brave HGV drivers boxed in the Audi A4 to block Khaflan's escape and officers were able to arrest him. A court heard it was 'miracle' nobody was injured or killed during the chase - which saw Khalfan speed through five different towns. Dead #whale is found with 80 POUNDS of plastic pollution in its stomach after swallowing bags, sacks and hundreds of other pieces of packaging off of the #Philippines The juvenile male Cuvier’s beaked whale floated ashore at Compostela Valley Environment officials performed a necropsy to establish cause of death The creature had ingested hundreds of pieces of plastic thinking it was food By MIRANDA ALDERSLEY FOR MAILONLINE PUBLISHED: 10:22 GMT, 18 March 2019 | UPDATED: 11:03 GMT, 18 March 2019 #fish A whale was found dead on a beach in the Philippines after swallowing 80 pounds (40kg) of plastic pollution from the ocean. The juvenile male Cuvier’s beaked whale was seen by locals - still barely alive - floating in the shallows after it washed ashore at Compostela Valley, the Philippines on March 16 just after 5am. Environmental officials were called and arrived at 11am but the whale had died moments earlier. he dying Cuvier's beaked whale was seen floating in the water locals in the Compostela Valley region of the Philippines The necropsy found 16 rice sacks, four plastic bags from banana plantations, multiple shopping bags and numerous other pieces of plastic packaging inside the whale's stomach American marine biologist Darrell Blatchley (pictured) said this was the most plastic his team had ever seen in a whale Darrell demanded action from the government and harsher punishments for those who dump rubbish in the ocean They then began the grim task of establishing the cause of death. Workers were horrified when they found hundreds of plastic items in the whale's stomach, including 16 rice sacks, four plastic bags used in banana plantations, multiple shopping bags, and hundreds of other small pieces of plastic packaging. ll of the items had been floating in the ocean before being swallowed by the marine creature, causing its death. Whales and dolphins often ingest plastic and other pollution from the sea, mistaking them for food. Darrell told local news outlets that it is not unusual for whales and dolphins to die from ingesting plastic pollution from the sea Workers were horrified by the contents of the dead whales stomach, which was mostly man-made packaging that was floating in the ocean before being swallowed by the marine creature The enormous mass of plastic found inside the whale weighed around 80 pounds Staff from the country's Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Fishery Management Regulatory Division performed a necropsy on the whale to find out the cause of death. The operation was led by Dr Elaine Belvis and American marine biologist Darrell Blatchley who owns D'Bone Collector Museum. Darrell said: 'Finding the whale like this was tragic. It's so sad to see the effect humans are having on sea life. The dying marine creature washed ashore Compostela Valley in the Philippines on March 16 just after 5am, but was dead before environmental officials arrived Davao City-based Darrell shared the photographs on Facebook yesterday, saying he would soon release a full list of the plastic items found inside 'This whale had the most plastic we have ever seen in a whale. It's disgusting. Action must be taken by the government against those who continue to treat the waterways and ocean as dumpsters.' Darrell said workers would continue sifting through the whales guts to identify the plastic which had clogged its stomach. He added: 'Doing this is not just for our gain but mainly to give education and for people to realise how magnificent these #animals are.' US Marines wasted no time in getting stuck in on Tuesday, as they queued up to slurp the blood of a decapitated cobra - which is said to be an effective hydrator should drinking water not be accessible during a jungle disaster. Not for the faint of heart, many of the Marines can we seen with there eyes tightly shut and tongues tentatively presented as the bright red blood is dripped onto their tongue. But a number can also be seen almost celebrating as they guzzle down the nutritious liquid - described as 'fishy' tasting - in front of their jubilant comrades at Akatotsarot Camp, in Phitsanulok, Thailand. . And the tasks only continue to get stranger from there, as soldiers learn to de-fang tarantulas before eating, as well as ingesting lizards and other creatures indigenous to densely forested areas. 'The benefits of Cobra Gold have been clearly demonstrated through the past years,' said Peter Haymond, the interim chargé d’affaires at the U.S. Embassy in Bangkok, during the opening ceremony. 'Our nations represented here today have fought side by side in battlefields and have worked together in humanitarian and natural disasters.' Other exercise will include military field training, humanitarian assistance and disaster relief drills across the next eight days, before the closing ceremony on February 22. US Marines queued up to drink the blood of a cobra - with some more enthusiastic about the prospect than others Some tentatively presented their tongues with their eyes tightly shut, as their comrades looked on and laughed Cobra blood is said to be a nutritious and hydrating option, should clean drinking water not be available in a jungle disaster One Marine taking part in the garish exercise described the taste of the blood as surprisingly 'fishy' Thai soldiers also showed the 10,000 competing troops how to properly kill the snake first The prospect of eating a raw Gecko wasn't appetizing for all Marines were also forced to eat a variation of other creatures indigenous to densely wooded areas, including scorpions and tarantulas 4, 5000 members of the US military are taking part in the exercise, which concludes on February 22 It wasn't all meat and blood for the troops, the jungle is also rich with vegan options too as one soldier learned as he was force fed a bundle of leaves Share or comment on this article: US Marines slurp the BLOOD OF BEHEADED COBRAS and EAT TARANTULAS in BONKERS Thai survival war games

The Kremlin strongman said after last night's training with Olympic judo medallist Natalia Kuzyutina, 29, in Sochi, southwestern Russia, that exercise helps people to 'get real'. Kuzyutina is said to have sent the 66-year-old Russian leader flying and she boasted afterwards about their sparring. But so far images of the moment the judoka left him on the mat have not been released, prompting the Ukrainian media to claim a cover-up by Russian 'propaganda'. Olympic bronze winner Kuzyutina revealed how she had thrown Putin over her head in a middle-of-the-night posting. 'Thank you President Putin that after such complex negotiation at the summit he found time for a full-scale quality training,' she said. 'I was glad yet again to be a sparring partner of the first judoist of our country!' Putin said after the session: 'It's a well known medical fact - the level of adrenaline increases in a person who practices physical exercises, so your mood improves, and you take a different look on the world around you. I can probably say that it helps you to get real.' Newspaper Moskovsky Komsomolets (MK) reported: 'Kuzyutina was a lot pushier than fellow male sportsmen. He wasn't upset but indeed appreciated her persistence. He got up and kissed Natalya on the top of her head.' An onlooker said: 'This is not the first sparring fight that the President has with her, and he really values her.' Russians were assured that Putin trained for a full hour and was 'in very good physical shape'. Nor was he treated 'softly' by the judo coach. 'Judo champions treated Vladimir Putin with care - but he didn't play with the same attitude and threw them quite roughly on the tatami,' reported MK. Russia's President Vladimir Putin (left, centre) during a judo training session at the Yug-Sport Training Center in Sochi Putin said after the session: 'It's a well known medical fact - the level of adrenaline increases in a person who practices physical exercises, so your mood improves, and you take a different look on the world around you. The training session took place in Sochi last night Kuzyutina, from Bryansk, competes in the women's 52kg category. She took bronze at the 2016 Olympics 'Olympic bronze champion Ivan Nifontov was four times with his back on the floor.' Putin's injury came during sparring with Olympic champion Beslan Mudranov, and a doctor rushed to bandage him before he continued. Suspect who stole car with baby inside told gas station clerk, ‘Take the baby!’

Shocking moment a man suspected of stealing a car that was left running with a sleeping baby inside handed over the infant to a gas station clerk. VIDEO: Suspect who stole car with baby inside told gas station clerk, ‘Take the baby!’ Chelsea Todaro Kristina Webb Palm Beach Post Staff Writers 1:27 p.m Tuesday, March 20, 2018 Local News Facebook Twitter Share NEWS This man dropped off a baby at a Royal Palm Beach gas station after deputies say he stole a car with the infant inside early Tuesday morning. (Kristina Webb/The Palm Beach Post) WEST PALM BEACH A suspect who deputies said stole a car with an infant inside at a gas station in suburban West Palm Beach early Tuesday handed the baby over to a worker at Royal Palm Beach gas station, where surveillance video clearly shows him rushing from the stolen vehicle with baby in hand. “Take the baby! Take the baby!” the suspect, a man, allegedly said. Michelle Ashby, co-owner of Jack’s Place restaurant inside the Sunoco gas station just south of Okeechobee Boulevard on State Road 7, said the suspect knocked on the door of the station’s convenience store and got the attention of the overnight clerk. Surveillance video shows a man in a white tank top and dark pants pulling up to the Sunoco in a dark car. He hops out of the vehicle, lifts the baby in the car seat out of the car and runs up to the front of the store. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said the suspect stole a black Kia Rio — left with its engine running — at about 4 a.m. from the gas station at Wallis and Haverhill roads just west of Palm Beach International Airport. The suspect then headed to the Sunoco station — 6 miles from where he stole the vehicle — and handed the baby over to the night worker, said Ashby, who was in the back of the store preparing for the breakfast rush. While the baby was asleep and in its carrier, the clerk called 911, and deputies notified the mother, who arrived about 30 minutes later, Ashby said. “It all happened so fast,” she said. (Kristina Webb/The Palm Beach Post) “(The clerk) said the suspect appeared to be scared and in a hurry when he knocked on the door,” Ashby said. When deputies arrived they lifted the 5-month-old baby from the carrier, waking it from a sound sleep. Ashby said the baby seemed fussy. “It hurt my heart because being a mom of four, I knew he was hungry,” she said. When the mother arrived, “she was just happy and relieved” to have her baby,” Ashby added. The suspect fled from the Sunoco in the Kia, but deputies tracked the car to Sansbury’s Way and Okeechobee, about 3 miles east. The man was still at large as of Tuesday afternoon.
