Width and height can be given static or dynamic values (pixels or percentages/ems), depending on what you need. Perfectly Centering DIVs Horizontally and Vertically Every Time Using CSS3

04:22
• Title: Vertically and Horizontally Centered Divs • Tutorial sponsor: Quantico Singapore Copywriting and Content Marketing Courses (https://www.qc.sg) • Music: End of Summer and Pas de Deux • Author: Arjun Khara Here's a simple and effective way to always have your divs centered vertically and horizontally, using the CSS3 transform: translate( ); property-value pair. Here's the code snippet, including browser fallbacks: .centereddiv{ background-color: #000; position: absolute; width: 650px; height: 100px; top: 50%; left: 50%; -webkit-transform: translate(-50%, -50%); -moz-transform: translate(-50%, -50%); -o-transform: translate(-50%, -50%); -ms-transform: translate(-50%, -50%); transform: translate(-50%, -50%); Centering is a popular issue in CSS and gets a lot of attention just because it’s central to page layouts. we can simply use the property-value pair called Transform: Translate Translate shifts an element on a page on the X and Y axes and it accepts all values, including percentage and pixels. We simply put: transform: translate (-50%, -50%). That’s it. Now when we change the dimensions of the div to anything we want. You can see the div always remains in the center, because the browser is compensating for any width and height dimensions using the translate property. It’s really easy. It’s good practice to implement browser-fallback properties. So in addition to your code, you would simply add the browser prefix for translate like this. -webkit-transform: translate(-50%, -50%); -moz-transform: translate(-50%, -50%); -o-transform: translate(-50%, -50%); -ms-transform: translate(-50%, -50%); transform: translate(-50%, -50%);

Website rendering performance optimization: fixed CSS aspect ratio

02:08
A common technique in responsive web design is the padding-bottom trick. With this optimization, you can get all your responsive images to maintain their aspect ratio even before the image has loaded. This way the page won't keep jumping around as the content loads and changes size. With this technique, the browser will need less render passes to paint your page, as it won't need to recalculate and reflow as much. Not to mention that this provides a much better user experience, if UX is what you're into. To do this, wrap your image tag with a container with height = 0, and padding-bottom as a percentage of the height divided by the width of the image. The image inside this wrapper needs to have its width set to 100% (the height will be calculated by the browser, and this will cause the image to scale).

CSS Different Types of Page Layouts

04:40
CSS has 4 types of layout: 1st is static page layout(The static page is sometimes called a fixed layout or static width layout) 2nd is Liquid page layout( Liquid page layout sometimes called fluid or fluid width layout. ) 3rd is Adaptive page layout 4th is Responsive page layout Static Page Layout: Static page is working with fixed width and without using media query. because of that in mobile this page will look very small. we can't see any changes in the layout when window is resized. Liquid Page Layout: Liquid page layout all container has percentage width but has no media query. because of that, In mobile this page will look very small with resizing content and resizing width of container. Adaptive Page Layout: Adaptive page layout all container has fixed width in px(pixel) and also has mobile media query with using html meta viewport. here you can hide, enlarge, or move the content to make it look good on any screen. but because of fixed size you can't resize your container and that's why you need to put width auto or use parentage width for mobile. Responsive Page Layout: Responsive page layout all container has percentage width and also has mobile media query with using html meta viewport. here you can resize, shrink, hide, enlarge, or move the content to make it look good on any screen. The main reason behind this subject is that many client, developers don't know different between fluid layout, responsive and liquid layout. I hope you got idea about the topic discussed in this video and if you like this video please subscribed and like this video.

Positioning for beginners (relative, absolute, fixed) - Webflow CSS tutorial

01:49
Using the position property is one of many ways you can change the layout and positioning of an element. This property is unique in that it allows elements to be positioned relative to themselves (relative), relative to a parent element (absolute), or relative to the viewport, even when the page is scrolled (fixed). The flexibility of the position property makes it possible to create very unique web layouts. You can even specify the stacking order of positioned elements that overlap other elements using the z-index property. Here we’ll cover the values you can set for the position property: 1. Auto 2. Relative 3. Absolute 4. Fixed ---------- Get started with Webflow: https://help.webflow.com/courses/getting-started http://webflow.com http://twitter.com/webflow http://facebook.com/webflow

Difference Between Inline and Block Elements CSS

05:52
Block vs inline explained. Why not both? When to use it, how to transform one in another and much more in this tutorial. Follow the wisdom of Tech Tzu: https://twitter.com/Tech_Tzu https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100013382105892&fref=ts Project Resources: http://www.mediafire.com/download/ydkkkcar8z6685c/Inline_vs_Block_elements_-_by_Tech_Tzu.zip Tools: Brackets, FREE code editor http://brackets.io/ Emmet, super speed coding addon http://emmet.io/ Beautify, turning your ugly code into beautiful script https://github.com/brackets-beautify/brackets-beautify Transcription: Okay let's understand what is the difference between inline and block elements, it's very important to understand the difference so we can easily manipulate your HTML file and CSS files. And your website layout in general. Okay. Inline elements are basically elements that flow, that flows one after each other, for example, add one p tag and add some text inside, as you can see we can add our span, which is an in-line element and says this is span and you can see that our text is inside the text it this text wrap its around, so nothing special, you just add some in-line elements. For example, let's add the big is this is an inline element and say this is big text, and that's it. Inline elements are elements that are inside the text and the text flows around them. Okay, let's move to block elements. Block elements are, for example, our div is a block element and I will explain on this example. Let's add to our div some styling, some styling, I prepare some styles over here in the comment just cut it inside add some width to be 100 pixels, and the height also, and background color to be white. Just to add hex code... and now we can see our div element. For example, if you add, we can add in the span elements, we can add another span element, for example, this is a big text big, we just copy and paste it and it will be in a line, but if we add another div elements, just copy this one here, it will go in another line. Just add some margin so we can better see margin to be up 20 pixels. Okay, so we can see our, our div element so let's add another div element. okay, there's another div element. As you can see the block elements are one below another and our in-line elements are next to each other. But, we have tricks, we can just mash up some these things, and just let's say that are div elements, which are naturally block elements, let's say display, display inline, so they act like inline elements. And what happened? As you can see something is wrong. And that's because inline elements don't support height and width of the elements. Just check this out: if we add to our big, just say it's add to our big element, let's add height for example 100 pixels nothing happens. Width also 100 pixels nothing happens. Because inline elements don't support width and height, but block elements do, so we just need to display these like inline-block. As you can see now our elements are acting just like in-line elements, just like this one, and that but there block elements. What will happen if we add to our in-line elements display to be displayed like a block? They will just fall down ok? I will just add background color so we can see better. And as you can see we changed to block height in the width now have a purpose and we had these white background block but if we add inline-block they will flow next to each other the flow next to each other. So the main difference between the div and in-line between the block and in-line elements is that in-line in line with text and block acts as a block and just add display in-line block or display block to change behavior of that element. So everything can be in-line and everything can be a block element by just by adding these rule display. And this is it, thank you for watching and bye-bye.

CSS width and max-width property | Part-13 | CSS Tutorial For Beginners | Tech Talk Tricks

07:03
Welcome to Tech Talk Tricks. In this video, we'll learn about CSS width and max-width property. So stay tuned right to the end so you can learn how to use width and max-width property in CSS. #TechTalkTricks #RanaSingh Hey Guys , Welcome to techtalktricks TechTalkTricks YouTube Channel. Setting the width of a block-level element will prevent it from stretching out to the edges of its container. Then, you can set the margins to auto, to horizontally center the element within its container. The element will take up the specified width, and the remaining space will be split equally between the two margins: Using max-width instead, in this situation, will improve the browser's handling of small windows. This is important when making a site usable on small devices: css max width responsive max-width media query max-width html css max-width not working css media max-width div width html div style width @media (min-width 768px) and (max-width 979px) ************************************************** Follow Tech Talk Trick on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/techtalktricks ************************************************** Follow tech talk trick on Twitter https://twitter.com/tecktalktrick ************************************************** Follow Tech Talk Tricks on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/techtalktricks ************************************************** Subscribe tech talk tricks on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/techtalktricks *************************************************** 1.How to make your computer start up & shutdown faster https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3kSjizTn7MM 2.How To Trace Name/Address/Location Of UnKnown Number Easily https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kyYfOP66l1Y 3.How to make webpage print friendly https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPR7JHA0Apk 4.How to Lock Folder Without any software https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BhEduEM9pws 5.How to enable undo in gmail https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g1fOwTQ3zJg 6.How To Recover All Deleted, Formatted, Damaged Files https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fl3DX6RBoqo 7.How to make Bootable USB pendrive for Windows https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IXJE859pxWg 8.How to Unlock Android Pattern or Pin Lock without losing data https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yN4JnAo7SvU 9.how to track a cell phone location for free https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0kCLyPJ8cM0 10.How to fix or repair pendrive using cmd https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ny4VhM2TsWM 11.how to get wifi password of neighbour https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LCFn6IjvnMM 12.How to Send an Email In Future https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oo84GRHe5Vg 13.How To Setup Wifi Hotspot Without Any Software in Windows 10 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Bzyvs44G50 14.how to download YouTube video without any software https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RDfDGY3Be9Y 15.HOW TO SET SHUTDOWN TIMER IN WINDOWS OS (HINDI) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vb5Ou7sc4uk 16.How To convert Word File (Any File Format) to PDF file (Any File Format) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nd0YtV9MwqQ 17.How To Hide Drive of Computer Using Command Prompt (Hindi) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AddrPKRGdSk

4 Places To Edit WordPress CSS | WP Learning Lab

08:08
Grab Your Free 17-Point WordPress Pre-Launch PDF Checklist: http://vid.io/xqRL 4 Places To Edit WordPress CSS | WP Learning Lab To edit WordPress CSS you first need to know all the places you can find CSS. There are 4 common places. You may not have all these locations on your website because some of them are theme-dependent. The possible CSS locations are: 1. The WordPress theme or child theme stylesheet (this one you have for sure) 2. The theme options panel (this one you may or may not have) 3. A CSS editor on each page and post (this one you may or may not have) 4. Inline CSS applied directly to HTML elements on the page (this one you will have only if you're written it) Let's go through each one. The WordPress theme or child theme stylesheet When inside your WordPress dashboard if you click on Appearance then Editor you will be able to edit theme or child theme files. Usually the style.css is loaded first by default. If it's not loaded find the style.css file in the list of files on the right side of the editor page. When you find it, click on it. That will open the CSS file in WordPress editor. At this point you can make edits to the file and click on the Update button to save your changes. How to actually code CSS is beyond the scope of this tutorial, but you can check out my CSS channel over here (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCeFLITjl2v9vtIkftw9UMsw) The danger in editing CSS directly in the stylesheet of the main theme is that what you create may be over written when the theme updates. You get around this problem by creating a child theme (see a tutorial on how to create a WordPress child theme here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8n1h-85SMQ). The theme options panel Not every theme has a theme options panel, but the ones that do make WordPress CSS so much easier to edit. You can simply add CSS to the CSS box in the theme options and click save changes. The upside is that theme updates won't erase the CSS code you create. A CSS editor on each page and post Some themes, like Avada and Divi, give you the option of insert CSS code right into the individual posts and pages of your website. This is great for CSS that you want to be only one page. I would only recommend doing this if you're putting more than 100 lines of CSS into the page. If it's less than 100 lines of CSS you're better to put into the main stylesheet so you stay organized. If it's more than 100 lines of CSS code that only need to exist on one page then your site will load a little bit faster overall by not loading all that CSS into every page. Inline CSS The last place in our list and the last place you'd want to create CSS code is right in your HTML elements. This is called inline CSS and can be difficult to work with for two big reasons. First, you can't apply the CSS to more than one element at a time. So if you want to style all the paragraphs on the page in the same way you have to apply the same CSS code over and over again to each p tag. This is a pain to administer and will result in larger than needed page sizes. Second, if you add inline CSS to lots of pages it will be come difficult to remember what CSS you applied where. Then trying to find it an make edits will become a pain. Inline CSS also takes precedent over CSS in the stylesheet. So you might be make changes to CSS in the stylesheet, but nothing is happening on the page. You'll go through a frustrating few minutes before you figure out the CSS is actually inline on the page. Fullscreen Hero Element in HTML, CSS and Javascript - 100% Height and 100% Width Hero Element This is ZTYT and today I'll be showing you how to make a Fullscreen Hero Element in HTML, CSS and Javascript and/or 100% Height and 100% Width Hero Element in just code, HTML, CSS, and Javascript. I have a previous video on how to do it in Muse (links below). In other words a Fullscreen Hero Element in HTML, CSS and Javascript is a 100% Height and 100% Width element in HTML. Please note I used a different method than the VH, and I used jQuery, Javascript, HTML, and CSS to plan out, design, and explain to the computer what you want it to do. Btw this is the same thing as how to make a fullscreen hero image in html. A Hero element is basically a fullscreen hero image in html. ___ → Are You A Zenton: http://youtube.com/ztytx → SHARE THIS VIDEO: https://youtu.be/eE_3n5b79Ak ★ Links ★ - - → Join an MCN: https://www.freedom.tm/via/Zentonical →Royalty Free Music by http://www.audiomicro.com/royalty-free-music This is ZTYT Signing Out!
