General Lee's procession, Havana

01:53
SUMMARY From Edison films catalog: A magnificent view of the Prado, from the balcony of the United States Club. The procession is headed by a troop of horsemen. Prominent among them is General Lee. Then come the soldiers, file after file and company after company; filling the broad avenue from curb to curb and as far as the eye can reach with marching men. It is the Seventh Army Corps. Great crowds of people fill the sidewalks; and through the trees that line the promenade in the middle of the Prado, are seen carriages and vehicles following the parade. The crowning event of the Spanish-American war! The great procession on Evacuation Day. 100 feet. $15.00. NOTES Copyright: Thomas A. Edison; 20Jan1899; 7259. Duration: 1:24 at 22 fps. Adobe Photoshop CC Preferences Menu Suggestions For Photographers

09:30
(FREE TUTORIAL) Let's take this opportunity to cover some *Adobe Photoshop CC Preferences* and other important settings. You will not learn anything about image enhancement in this tutorials but your workflow might suffer if you skip over these settings. Most of the settings that I suggest changing in the Adobe Photoshop CC Preferences Menus video above are optional but there is one setting in here that is worth additional discussion. If you have setup Adobe Photoshop Lightroom's Preferences to create .psd files for you when you send a copy of your image over to Photoshop CC for additional editing then you should set the "Maximize PSD and PSB File Compatibility" preference setting in the File Handling Tab to "Always." The factory default setting of "Ask" will do you no harm but choosing the "Never" option is shooting yourself in the foot. If you tell Photoshop CC to create a .psd files without the "Maximize Compatibility" option turned on then you will create a file that Lightroom cannot handle! If your .psd file lacks the Maximize Compatibility instructions then it cannot be added into your Lightroom Catalog. Fortunately, this "Maximize Compatibility" conundrum applies to .psd files only. One of the best ways to avoid this problem altogether is to configure Lightroom so that it creates .tif files instead of .psd files when you ask it to send a copy of your image over to Photoshop CC for additional editing. Working with layered .tif files, rather than .psd images, is my recommendation for most photographers whenever possible. ------------ Learn Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, Adobe Lightroom for Mobile, Snapseed from Google, and more with our complete video training courses at http://www.focusphotoschool.com. The rise of ISIS, explained in 6 minutes

Its history goes back way before the group ever existed. Subscribe to our channel! http://goo.gl/0bsAjO In the few short years since the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria formed, it has done the seemingly impossible, seizing vast areas of the Middle East to form a mini-state it calls a reincarnation of the ancient Caliphate. It is at war with all its neighbors and virtually the entire world, yet someone remains, and is launching increasingly deadly terror attacks abroad. To understand how this terrible group came about and how it has grown so powerful, you need to understand the story behind its rise. And that is a story that goes back decades, to long before ISIS existed. In this Lightroom video tutorial, we will be discussing this plan going forward, as well as prepare our catalog for developing. This means that we are going to restore the catalog to defaults, and then re-keyword all of our images based on what types of tutorials they will be used for. How To Move Mac iMovie Library To Dropbox or an External Hard Drive

05:39
I tend to use iMovie for a lot of simpler videos. The problem is, the iMovie library can get pretty large, and I also like to make sure everything is backed up in Dropbox. My Macbook only has a 250gb hard drive, and I need access to more than 250gb worth of files in my Dropbox on a regular basis, so I keep it on a 2tb external hard drive. As my iMovie library has grown I decided it would be good to move it to an external hard drive, and even better if I could move it into my Dropbox. That would mean not only do I have my Time Machine backup of my videos, but I would also have a Dropbox backup as well. Here is how I did it on OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 with iMovie 10.1.2 Need to move Apple Photos Library as well? After decades of little progress, the combination of big data and advances in computer hardware have brought AI applications to life: from self-driving cars to home assistants to augmented reality and instant language translation. If some of these applications feel like science fiction it's because deep learning algorithms are powering a true breakthrough in machine intelligence. But with these truly impressive advances comes a great deal of hype: fears of terminator-type bots turning on humans and stealing all our jobs. In this video we sort out the fact from fiction in this very exciting field. /// Vox.com is a news website that helps you cut through the noise and understand what's really driving the events in the headlines. Defending Earth from Asteroids with Neil deGrasse Tyson

58:04
There are about a million near-Earth asteroids that are large enough to substantially damage or destroy a major city, as evidenced by the explosion over Chelyabinsk, Russia, in February 2013 of a meteor no bigger than a large truck, which injured more than 1,000 people. With current space technology, scientists know how to deflect the majority of hazardous near-Earth objects. But prevention is only possible if nations work together on detection and deflection. Learn about the risks, and the steps that are needed to avoid these potential natural disasters, from a group of astronauts and cosmonauts who recently helped develop recommendations to the United Nations for defending Earth from asteroid impact in this discussion. This program, which was streamed live on the web, took place at the American Museum of Natural History on October 25, 2013, the same week the United Nations General Assembly adopted measures creating an international decision-making mechanism for planetary asteroid defense. The event was co-hosted by the American Museum of Natural History and the Association of Space Explorers (ASE). Neil deGrasse Tyson, who is the Frederick P. Rose Director of the Hayden Planetarium, hosted the discussion with participants Thomas Jones, former NASA astronaut, senior research scientist at the Florida Institute for Human and Machine Cognition, and Association of Space Explorers (ASE) Near Earth Objects Committee member; Russell Schweickart, former NASA astronaut, ASE co-founder and Near Earth Objects Committee member, and co-founder and chairman emeritus of the B612 Foundation; Dumitru-Dorin Prunariu, former Romanian astronaut, ASE co-founder and Near Earth Objects Committee member, and vice president of the European International Institute for Risk, Security, and Communication Management; Edward Lu, former NASA astronaut, ASE Near Earth Objects Committee member, and co-founder, chairman, and CEO of the B612 Foundation; and Soichi Noguchi, engineer and JAXA astronaut, and ASE Near Earth Objects Committee member. *** Subscribe to our channel: http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=AMNHorg Check out our full video catalog: http://www.youtube.com/user/AMNHorg Facebook: http://fb.com/naturalhistory Twitter: http://twitter.com/amnh Tumblr: http://amnhnyc.tumblr.com/ Instagram: http://instagram.com/amnh

Can we make apprenticeships great again? In many cases, automation is changing the workforce faster than we can keep up. Manufacturers say they expect to have millions of unfilled positions. Adapting apprenticeship programs could help close the expanding wage and skills gaps by giving people another option for job training. Cody Wilson, a 25 year old University of Texas Law student, is an advocate for the open source production of firearms using 3D printing technology. This makes him a highly controversial figure on both sides of the gun control issue. There's A Snippet for That: Mobile Code Sharing Catalog

36:45
In this webinar, you'll learn how to use the Mobile Code Sharing Catalog and how it can help your agency's mobile efforts. Mobile implementers now have a new resource to help them make content and services available anytime, anywhere, and from any device--the federal Mobile Code Sharing Catalog. Here, agency developers looking to jump-start their efforts can find source code for native (e.g. complete apps) and mobile Web projects (frameworks for a mobile website) from a variety of sources: federal agencies, other governments, and third-parties in the private sector. In addition, agencies can share their mobile code for others to build upon and upgrade. For more information, visit https://www.digitalgov.gov/2013/10/23/mobile-code-sharing-catalog-snippet-leaflet/ and follow DigitalGov on twitter https://twitter.com/Digital_Gov Produced by DigitalGov University, an initiative of the General Services Administration

Countable nouns are more specific (more concrete). 7:01 #5 One way to help us identify uncountable nouns is to learn the common categories they belong to. 9:27 #6 We can use quantifying words and phrases to make uncountable nouns countable. 11:52 #7 Don’t confuse uncountable nouns with collective nouns. 2016 Sticker Shop Mini Office Tour + IKEA Storage Solutions + RASKOG Cart // NoWhiteSpaceStickers

13:59
Hi Guys! I hope you enjoy my mini office tour! Since I’m just a baby sticker shop, I’m able to setup shop inside my room. Not much space is needed just yet, although I have taken over at least HALF of the room so far. NoWhiteSpaceStickers is a “made to order” sticker shop so you won’t see lots of product/stock on the shelves. The tour is just to show you my general office setup and storage solutions that I use for some of my shop and planner accessories. Please note that I don’t talk about shop SPECIFIC items like the software I use, printers, or sticker paper. I did this mainly to keep my process a “trade secret” so to speak. I’m sure if you wanted to pause the video and zoom in 100x you’d be able to figure it out. I’m not going to stop you there. But I also didn’t want to talk about these items as to not start a flood of “How do I open my own sticker shop” questions from the public. I hope my sticker friends and followers enjoy this video! I will link all of the storage solutions that I talked about in the video down below: Check out my Etsy Sticker Shop "No White Space Stickers" HERE: https://www.etsy.com/shop/NoWhiteSpaceStickers DIY STICKER STORAGE TUTORIAL as seen in this video HERE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yawZixpA7IM Erin Condren Pillow (20x20): https://www.erincondren.com/mid-century-circles-accent-pillow Erin Condren Blanket (50x60): https://www.erincondren.com/mid-century-circles-sherpa-throw MUJI Acrylic Drawers: http://www.muji.us/store/acrylic-case-5-drawers.html Sugar Paper Los Angeles Gift Box (Large): http://www.target.com/p/sugar-paper-large/-/A-51245467 Nate Berkus File Folder Unit: http://www.target.com/p/tabletop-file-with-5-pc-hanging-folders-nate-berkus/-/A-16654875 IKEA KALLAX Cube Storage: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/50278482/#/10305741 Target Storage Cart: http://www.target.com/p/storage-cart-white-room-essentials/-/A-50659905 IKEA ALEX drawers: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/10192824/ DYMO Shipping Scale: http://www.staples.com/DYMO-5-lb-Digital-Postal-Scale/product_897131?fromUrl=tokens&akamai-feo=off&cid=PS%3AGooglePLAs%3A897131 IKEA Alex Desk Add-On: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/20260718/?query=alex+add Erin Condren Placemat Pads: https://www.erincondren.com/mid-century-circles-placemat-pads Target 31” Storage Shelf: http://www.target.com/p/31-stackable-shelf-white-room-essentials/-/A-50246020 Photography Light Box: https://www.amazon.com/Neewer-Shooting-Diffusion-Backdrops-Photography/dp/B00GKGGICC/ref=pd_sbs_421_11?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=90XY9GYQ9G0FM4J1JAB7 LEVENGER Gold Metal Discs for Happy Planner: http://www.levenger.com/aluminum-circa-discs-1-inch-(set-of-11)-core-7566.aspx YETI microphone: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/yeti-professional-usb-microphone/9737441.p?skuId=9737441 You can follow my shop here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/NoWhiteSpaceStickers?ref=hdr_shop_menu NEW TO ERIN CONDREN?
