Four-time individual CrossFit Games athlete Brooke Wells made a name for herself at the 2015 Central Regional, which she won at 19 years old. It was her first individual regional appearance. In 2014, she competed with team 540 Beefy of CrossFit 540 at the North Central Regional. She went on to take 16th in her debut Games appearance in 2015. She proved herself again in 2016, taking third at the Central Regional but catapulting to sixth at the Games with six top-five finishes and one event win. Wells is a student at the University of Missouri and a trainer at CrossFit Fringe in Columbia. A senior at University of Missouri, Wells is on track to graduate with a degree in business and plans to continue competiting in CrossFit in the future.
There's no doubt that Brooke Wells is incredible. She placed 16th in her rookie year at the CrossFit Games in 2015, 19th in the 2016 CrossFit Games Open and has been on a tear in the offseason, winning several events including Wodapalooza. She front squats 345, cleans 255, and is generally fitter than hell.
Although Brooke Wells broke her finger during the Assault Banger event Friday night at the CrossFit Games, she finished 14th which is not a bad place for the 22 year old.
She was a former track star at Southside high school specializing in the 100 and 300 intermediate hurdles. She has a twin sister named Sydney who's also into crossfit. She's an accomplished CrossFit athlete who started young much like Lauren Fisher.
While prepping for the Games, Wells hits the gym for up to four and a half hours a day, and tops it off with a second session of cardio for good measure. But in the few hours of the day that she isn't training, she attends the University of Missouri, where she's a full-time student.
Her favourite dish to cook is tacos. She eats a real meal before her first session of training but then she may drink one before her second session if she don't want to eat again. Brooke consumes a shake right after working out to restore her body! She says that everyone is different, but the most important thing to remember is that consistency is key!
