Sea Monster in Alaska CAUGHT on Video by U S Government ?

07:53
From Nessie making an appearance in Alaska, to the Russian's finding something extremely unsettling, this is Crypto Fun Friday ! While most people have to go searching for the Loch Ness Monster, a vacationer was fortunate enough to be gazing at the Loch … when Nessie simply popped her head out of the water … at least that’s the story we heard. A 28-year-old woman was on the balcony of her holiday home at Loch Ness when she saw a mysterious ripple on the surface, followed by a ‘blue thing’ swimming across. She grabbed her phone and managed to snap a few pictures … but when she tried to zoom in, the object disappeared. The woman claimed it’s not often one sees a monster while on holiday … but did she really see one? Here’s another potential sea monster that was caught on video … this time in Russia. What appeared to be a huge, serpent-like object in remote Lake Turgoyak (tur-goy-ak) has people making the Nessie tie-ins. A kayaker said he spotted the mysterious object causing ripples on one area of the lake’s surface. The video footage shows large black rings that conceivably resemble the coils of a snake. While the kayaker claims the object appeared to be around 15 meters long and serpentine … he also conceded the ripples could have been caused by divers training. But as it turns out, no dive teams were swimming deep in that area of the lake on that day. Aside from the obvious comparison to Nessie, we couldn’t find that many theories about what this snakelike thing might have been … Care to give it a go? Some of the clearest pictures of the Loch Ness Monster appeared earlier in 2016 … if it really was the legendary Nessie. An amateur photographer named Ian Bremner snapped the pictures that show a dark creature with a long, serpentine body bobbing along the surface of Loch Ness. The animal is estimated at around 2 meters long appears to have a tail, and and has a silvery sheen on its skin. Many sceptics point out that the animal’s head could be a seal, and the picture merely shows three of them playing in the water. But Mr Bremner has his believers … and they say the images closely resemble the most sharply focused examples of Nessie yet found. Accounts of a sea monster have been documented since the 1800s in Barmouth, Wales when footprints as big as an elephant’s were found on the beach. Subsequent accounts described the creature’s appearance as similar to a crocodile’s. WItnesses who claimed to see the creature in broad daylight in 1975 described it as having a square face with a long neck and tail, and flippers. Earlier in 2016, the first-ever photograph of the legendary beast possibly surfaced. Have you ever heard of the Morag (mor-rag)? It’s a Scottish sea monster that makes its home in Loch Morar (mora) … about 70 miles from Loch Ness. Stories of the creature date back to 1887 … and this cryptid is something of a paradox. It’s been described as having a beautiful, mermaid-like visage … but it’s also described as a demonic character whose presence was considered to portend death. According to folklore, the Morag can appear like a black heap that slowly rises in the water and moves along like a waterlogged boat. But more recent accounts describe it as a humped, serpentine creature, more along the lines of Nessie. The best known sighting occurred in 1969, when two men accidentally struck the creature with their boat. Let’s head back to Russia for this one … At remote Lake Labynkyr (la-bink-er) in Siberia, a mysterious dark creature is said to inhabit the deep, icy waters. It’s called the 'Labynkyr (la-bink-er) Devil’ … and the lake it inhabits is so secluded that no one lives within a 100 mile radius. Except for an adventurer named Andrey Solovyez, who’s keeping a vigil there.. He’s braving temperatures of -50 degrees Celsius because he’s convinced he has proof of the creature’s existence -- his fishing nets were torn and shredded by something too powerful to be a fish. Reports of a Nessie-type creature have persisted in the region since the 19th century. And according to some scientists, sonar readings do indicate that at least one huge creature might lurk under the surface. Sightings analyzed by experts conclude the creature is up to 10 meters long, with a massive jaw that has a beaklike appearance and lots of teeth. Theories include the creature being a prehistoric marine reptile such as an ichthyosaurs (itch-thee-o-sore) or plesiosaur. Another possibility is the creature being a relic killer whale that was somehow marooned in the lake. For now, scientists still have no explanation for what the kind of animal it might be. NASA | The Ocean: A Driving Force for Weather and Climate

06:01
The Ocean is essential to life on Earth. Most of Earth's water is stored in the ocean. Although 40 percent of Earth's population lives within, or near coastal regions- the ocean impacts people everywhere. Without the ocean, our planet would be uninhabitable. This animation helps to convey the importance of Earth's oceanic processes as one component of Earth's interrelated systems. This animation uses Earth science data from a variety of sensors on NASA Earth observing satellites to measure physical oceanography parameters such as ocean currents, ocean winds, sea surface height and sea surface temperature. These measurements, in combination with atmospheric measurements such as surface air temperature, precipitation and clouds can help scientists understand the ocean's impact on weather and climate and what this means for life here on Earth. NASA satellites and their unique view from space are helping to unveil the vast... and largely unexplored.... OCEAN. NASA Earth Observing System Data and Information Systems (EOSDIS) EOSDIS is a distributed system of twelve data centers and science investigator processing systems. EOSDIS processes, archives, and distributes data from Earth observing satellites, field campaigns, airborne sensors, and related Earth science programs. These data enable the study of Earth from space to advance scientific understanding. When Scuba Diving Goes Wrong

10:43
These experienced divers & beginners were stranded at sea or just fell to extreme depths to the ocean floor. Let's take a look at what happens when scuba diving goes wrong. Support our Patreon today: https://www.patreon.com/theywillkillyou Subscribe for new videos: http://goo.gl/SaufF4 Follow us on Instagram: @theywillkillyou Voiceover by Carl Mason: [email protected] Number 7 Japanese Divers In 2014, a group of seven female Japanese scuba divers set off from the coast of Bali in serene weather conditions. The group was led by Bali-based instructors Saori Furukawa and Shoko Takahashi. As they were exploring the area, a storm struck. Heavy rainfall and strong winds separated the group from their boat and trapped them in a whirlpool together. Takahashi became lost at sea. Furukawa and the remaining four were left drifting on the open water. They got through the first night in the ocean by drinking from passing coconuts and trying to keep each other awake. At one point, Furukawa swam away from the group and tried to intercept a tugboat but didn’t manage to get close enough. The current was too strong and she got separated from the others. They were found on a large coral reef off a small island called Nusa Penida, almost 19 miles from where they had started their dive. Number 6 Jacob’s Well Located northwest of Wimberley, Texas, Jacob’s Well is one of the most popular diving spots in the US. The mouth of the spring is a popular swimming spot. However, for those interested in scuba diving, it’s the entrance point to a complex underwater cave system. Even the slightest brush of the flipper is enough to stir it up and obscure the diver’s vision. Navigating it requires specialized technique and equipment. Swimming through the chambers sometimes involves maneuvering through narrow passageways. Richard Patton was looking for a way to move from chamber to chamber when he became stuck in a false chimney that looked like a way out. Number 5 Thomas Pritchard In 2015, Tom Prichard had almost a thousand dives under his belt when he became part of a team that dove to the wreckage of Andrea Doria. The wreck has been slowly collapsing for a number of years, with its top resting at 190 feet. Pritchard was tasked with attaching a mooring line to the wreck. When his team surfaced they noticed that Pritchard was no longer with them. The captain of the ship that had brought the team to the site didn’t let the divers go back after him. Number 4 Bushman’s Hole In October 2004, at Bushman’s Hole in South Africa, friends Dave Shaw and Don Shirley broke four deep diving world records, after reaching the cave’s floor, almost 1,000 feet beneath the surface. More people have walked the surface of the moon than have dove to such depths. Special technique and highly complex equipment must be used. After several months of preparation, in a high media event and accompanied by a documentary film crew, Shaw and Shirley made their attempt to dive down. He knew something had gone wrong but experienced a problem with his own equipment and knew he had to return to the surface. His ascent took more than 12 hours, which he spent in a fog of nausea and exhaustion. Number 3 Poliakov Oleg 40-year-old Poliakov Oleg and an unnamed companion were swimming in a proper diving zone. The driver, identified as 47-year-old Ritthirong Phanla told the authorties that he was a carrying a group of ten tourists at the time and was unable to stop the boat when the two divers suddenly surfaced. Number 2 Yuri Lipski A blue hole is a large marine sinkhole that’s open to the surface. It’s typically created in an island or a bank composed of limestone or bedrock. A blue hole located on the east coast of Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula, is one of the most coveted diving spots in the world. The coral-lined sinkhole has a depth of about 394 feet. Number 1 Tina Watson In October 2003, 26-year-old Tina Watson, from Helena, Alabama went scuba diving in Queensland, Australia. The woman was on her honeymoon with her new husband, Gabe Watson, a diver who was also her diving buddy. On October 22, the couple was scuba diving at the site of the historical shipwreck Yongala. One of the divers nearby later claimed that he saw Gabe engage in an underwater bear hug with Tina as she was struggling. Afterwards, Gabe reportedly headed to the surface as she fell to the bottom. Another diver took a picture of his wife and, by chance, caught Tina in the background as she laid face-up on the ocean floor.

10 Of The Most Dangerous Beaches In The World

05:21
10 Of The Most Dangerous Beaches In The World. 1. Kilauea – Hawaii Hawaii is famous for amazing beaches, big waves, and perfect sunbathing weather but it’s not without it’s dangers. Hawaii also has numerous volcanoes with Mt. Kilauea being the most active. The sand on the Kilauea beach is black from volcanic ash and while it may be an amazing place to visit, there is still the danger of the volcano erupting. Especially when you consider that it has been active since 1983, it should make you think twice about visiting here. 2. Playa Zipolite – Mexico Mexico is home to Cancun Beach which has been voted the most beautiful in the world but it is also home to one of the most deadliest beaches too. The name of the beach supposedly translates to “beach of the dead” which alone should put off visiting here but it still has a large amount of tourists visiting every year. Playa Zipolite looks like paradise and can put you into a false sense of security, a dip into the luscious blue sea could end up being your last as the waves are huge which result in dangerous undercurrents. So many people have died on this beach that a special lifeguard team have been stationed here, thanks to these heroes the number of drownings has declined over the years. 3. Fraser Island – Australia Sadly Fraser Island is a paradise that is forbidden to people as the seas are home to dangerous jellyfish and sharks. The beach is just as dangerous too as the island is home to some of the world’s deadliest spiders and a few large crocodiles too. Is this piece of paradise really worth the risk? 4. Gansbaai – South Africa Gansbaai has so many white sharks in the waters that it has become a tourist attraction for adventure seekers. You can feed the mighty beasts and if courageous enough can take a swim with them too. Of course you’ll be given a shark proof cage for safety otherwise you’ll be their food. 5. Volusia County – Florida Florida was in the headlines as it had the highest amount of shark attacks in 2013. There have been more shark sightings off the coast of Volusia County than in the entire South African region, which is notorious for its shark habitat. While most shark attacks in Florida are not fatal it still puts you off wanting to take a dip. But it’s not just sharks that are a threat, Florida also has the highest fatalities from lightening strikes in North America too. Guess you are not safe in the water or on the beach. 6. Chowpatty Beach – India Chowpatty Beach is India’s most famous beach but it is also one of the most polluted in the world too. Every year hundreds of Mumbai residents celebrate the Hindu festival of Ganesha Chaturthi on the beach and it’s a tradition to wash their idols of Lord Ganapati in the sea. But as the waters and beach are so disgusting the chances of catching something here are highly likely. 7. Bikini Atoll – US Marshall Islands Bikini Atoll has a high amount of marine life making it a great place to dive and it has also been made a Unesco World Heritage Site. But despite it’s beauty there are also dangers. The seas are shark infested and it was once a testing ground for nuclear weapons between 1946 to 1958. Around 20 nuclear bombs were set off on the islands infecting the area with radiation. The government has since declared the area safe but do you still want to visit there? 8. Schitovaya Bukhta – Russia Schitovaya Bukhta is known to be one of the greatest surfing spots in the world but unfortunately there are also numerous military facilities based here. Because of this, surfers need to apply for a permit to ride the waves and secondly one of these bases houses old nuclear submarines which leak radiation. 9. Heard Island – Antarctica While most people prefer a beach with plenty of sunshine some extreme surfers like to visit Heard Island. Being the Antarctic the sea is ice cold but the surfers love the big waves, even if it does often give them hypothermia. 10. North Sentinel Island – Andaman Islands The natives on this island do not like outsiders, an attempt to make contact by India ended in their plane being shot by flaming arrows and the need for a quick escape. In another instance a boat run ashore on the island, the two occupants were instantly killed by the natives. Understanding Marine Buoyage - "quieter volume" - simple and easy www.coastalsafety.com

09:33
Buoyage is the general term that covers markers for indicating channel markers, safe water, danger areas and special purpose areas This is a quieter volume version - for the full volume version go here or click the link in the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jAQPJdB-3ko Region A covers Europe and most of the of the world (red to port side). Region B covers the America, Japan, the Philippines and South Korea (Green to port side). Flash - less light & more darkness Long flash - longer flash but still less light & more darkness Isophase - equal time of light and darkness Occulting - more light & less darkness Navigation buoys fall into 6 types: lateral - marking channels cardinal - indicating safe direction of navigation isolated danger - small areas of danger safe water - safe navigation in all directions form the buoy wrecks - submerged and partially submerged ships wrecks and danger special - other areas where various activities are / are not allowed Nautical chart symbols Aids to Navigation that have lights are marked on the chart with a small teardrop shape that will be magenta in colour (easy to read under a RED night vision light). The teardrop can point in various directions to best display on the chart and the actual direction drawn on the chart is of no significance. The exact location of the buoy or mark is the small circle or dot at the base symbol on the chart. Lateral Marks are used generally to mark the sides of well-defined, navigable channels. They are positioned in accordance with the "Conventional Direction of Buoyage" as discussed above. They indicate the Port and Starboard hand sides of the route to be followed. Generally, the bigger the buoy the bigger the vessels the channel is designed for / used by and so the deeper the water. It may well be possible to navigate outside of the channel on a smaller boat depending on the height of tide and the nature of the sea bed. Port and Starboard lateral marks tend to be can shaped on the port side and conical shaped on the starboard side - this makes them easier to identify in low light or reduced visibility conditions. Cardinal buoys and marks warn of danger and remain constant throughout the system of two IALA regions and are the same for areas IALA "A" and IALA "B" regions. There may be only one buoy or more depending on the danger and the shape of the coast. For example, close to the shore they may be only one buoy as it may not be possible to go between the wreck and the shore. The buoys have two black cones in different configurations which are know as the "top mark" cones - these point to the black areas on the body of the buoy - the rest of the buoy is yellow. Your direction of approach doesn't matter – which makes them different from lateral buoys - the buoys indicate where you should go. The body of a cardinal buoy is always marked with a combination of black and yellow bands. It is always surmounted with a topmark consisting of 2 black triangles arranged in 1 of 4 combinations. Cardinal Marks are used in conjunction with the compass to indicate the direction from the mark in which the deepest navigable water lies, to draw attention to a bend, junction or fork in a channel, or to mark the end of a shoal. The buoys indicate where the safe water is, that is, mariners will be safe if they pass North of a North mark South of a South mark East of an East mark West of a West mark. Isolated Danger Marks are used to mark small, isolated dangers with navigable water around the buoy They are used to mark an isolated hazard in waters which otherwise are navigable. They are normally moored directly on or above the danger such as a large rock, shoal or sunken ship. The pattern of bands is BLACK over RED over BLACK. The topmark is 2 BLACK balls. If lit, the light will show 2 WHITE flashes (Fl 2). They can mark: a small area of rocks a pinnacle rock small sand bank old collapsed buildings in the sea pipes that are a danger to surface navigation Safe Water Marks may be used at the seaward end of the start of a channel to a port, mid-channel, as a centreline markers or at the point where land is reached. These buoys (as the name suggests) indicate the presence of safe, navigable water all around the buoy. They may also indicate the best point of passage under a fixed bridge. These buoys are coloured Red and White in vertical stripes. It usually has a white light which flashes Isophase or Occulting or Morse code ‘A’ Emergency Wreck Buoys provide a clear and unambiguous means of marking new wrecks. www.coastalsafety.com

BLACK SEA ( DARK SIDE OF BLACK SEA: SEAFARING IN SUBSTANDARD VESSELS)

57:01
Subtitle Options : English / Russian / Rumanian The Black Sea is known with its holiday resorts, pretty fishing boats and people. But, for seafarers, it has not been associated with these beauties for a long time. For centuries the Black Sea has been witnessing an active maritime commerce between surrounding countries and communities. But today, it has turned into a nightmare for seafarers. For them the Black Sea means low wages, old vessels and severe working conditions accompanied by fatal marine accidents. Those seafarers from different countries of Black Sea, are trying to earn their living and look after their families under such bad conditions. They endure the hardships of their job in order to provide a better life for their yearning families. They try to survive in the vessels that are left to their fate without any payment for months, without fuel and provision. Delayed or unpaid wages, hard work, bad living conditions, ignored safety rules have just become a routine. And to make matters worse, seafarers in despair have to pay manning agents to find a job. “The Sea of Shame” is a term that sums up these severe conditions in the Black Sea. This documentary has been completed in one year. We are grateful to all those who supported us and put their labour in it.

Crazy DANGERS Of Deep Sea Diving

09:50
Of course, there are a ton of reasons to go for an adventure far under the surface of the ocean, but do you know all of the potential risks that accompany each and every dive? If you didn’t, here they are, these are the 15 Dangers Of Deep Sea Diving. #7 - Nitrogen Narcosis Nitrogen Narcosis is yet another serious issue divers need to be aware of. When the human body gets too much nitrogen in their system, it creates a kind of narcotic effect. It would feel like the nitrous-oxide gas given to you at the dentist’s office. While you might enjoy that woozy feeling when you’re inside a dentist’s office on dry land, this is not a feeling you would want to experience when you are far under water. Nitrogen narcosis damages both sensory perception and judgment making each decision the affected diver makes a potentially dire one. #6 - Gaps In Actual Experience If you are an experienced diver, you know that there is a rule that states you have to take a refresher course every six months that you haven’t been actively diving. Although you, being a diver, might laugh because you believe that the course really isn’t all that big of a deal, it really is very important. After not diving for just a few months, some of the very minor but incredibly important and vital details of the preparation or procedure of diving could be forgotten. Depending on which part you forget, that tiny sliver of information might just cost you your life. Just take the refresher course to get back in the loop. #5 - Losing Your “Buddy” It might seem silly but the “Buddy System” is really important when it comes to dives and swimming out in the ocean. If you have a buddy, there should always be at least one other person in the water that is concerned with your safety and survival. The ocean is not a place to lose your buddy. #4 - “The Bends” Decompression sickness is most often referred to as “the bends” and it is caused by increased pressure which makes the tissues in a body absorb more nitrogen. When that fierce pressure is suddenly reduced, the extra nitrogen can form tiny nitrogen bubbles that can kill. When deep sea divers want to return to the ocean’s surface, they must do so in distinct stages that are carefully monitored so that they can best control the rate of which the absorbed nitrogen is released. The bends can range from the affected having aching joints, a creepy skin rash, or paralysis and even possibly death. Do NOT go diving without being properly trained. It is not a hobby that you can just pick up an afternoon. #3 - Not Wearing Adequate Protection We aren’t just talking about wearing durable gloves while checking out a sunken shipwreck, although if you do get cut without wearing protective gloves, you can get tetanus, which doesn’t sound like fun. We’re talking about wearing gear that is suited to the climate and temperatures of the weather and the ocean you are diving into. When you are wearing a short wetsuit, don’t go play around in some coral where you can easily get cut up, which could lead to even more danger. Also, the temperature of the water gets colder the further down you get, so make sure you dress appropriately, it’s not like you can just put on a jacket once you’re underwater. #2 - Oxygen Toxicity Oxygen toxicity happens only when the person is deep sea diving and goes more than 135 feet below the surface. Just like nitrogen, which caused a lot of problems for divers earlier, the body absorbs more oxygen when the body finds itself underneath increased water pressure. Experienced divers know how to deal with the increase of oxygen but as the pressure and depth increase, the body absorbs more and more oxygen and too much can become toxic. The symptoms start with tunnel vision and nausea and then switch to loss of consciousness and seizures. If either one of the last things happens while you’re underwater, you’re most likely never making it to the surface again. #1 - Mask Squeeze The woman in this picture looks like she is about to start bleeding from her eyeballs which is a rather frightening thing to see. However, she isn’t a lead role in an up and coming horror film, she’s suffering from a diver’s condition called “mask squeeze.” When the pressure of the air inside the mask isn’t equalized correctly, the outside pressure causes the scuba mask to be pushed on the diver’s face resulting in this scary painful look. The small blood vessels surrounding and in the eyes burst, which leads to the bloody eyeballs you see here. This is not the look she was going for, we’re sure of that.
