The Luxury Store in North Korea

14:34
This shop is called Rakwon Dept. Store, one of the fancy stores located in North Korea. 90% of products sold here are foreign products, and the price is quite 'classy'. One time I took my daughters to buy toys at this store, and my kids chose expensive toys, I refused to buy it and distract them to buy cheaper toys, then the chaos ensued. Lol ;-))) =========================== The opening and closing music by: Wanna One - Beautiful =========================== These videos is about my daily life in NK...so I only posted about my routines things that I am doing in NK). Kim Jong Un at opening of new meat shop

10:12
Pyongyang, April 26 (KCNA) -- The Mansugyo Meat and Fish Shop built on the bank of picturesque Pothong River in Pyongyang started its business on Wednesday. The 3-storey shop covers 5 000 plus square meters. Its ground floor has counters of fresh and frozen fish and processed fish while the first floor counters of meat including beef, pork, goose, turkey and quail and processed foodstuff. The second floor has a restaurant serving steak. The opening ceremony was held on Wednesday. The dear respected Kim Jong Un appeared at the shop to congratulate its opening. Attended there were Kim Yong Nam, Choe Yong Rim, Choe Ryong Hae, Ri Yong Ho and other senior party, state and army officials and officials concerned. Looking round the interior of the shop, Kim Jong Un expressed great satisfaction with the solider builders having built the shop to be loved by the people. He ardently said leader Kim Jong Il would have seen the shop with the highest service level. He advanced tasks to manage and operate the shop. He visited the shop construction site in January and indicated the orientation and ways for construction, underlining the need to provide the best convenience to the consumers. -0- North Korea Nordkorea Corea del Norte Corée du Nord Koreańska Republika Ludowo-Demokratyczna Корейская Народно-Демократическая Республика Kuzey Kore كوريا الشمالية 조선민주주의인민공화국

Computer Store in North Korea

10:35
Many people are asking about the technological developments in North Korea. About their knowledge of computers and the use of other electronic goods. North Korea today is different from North Korea before, now they are more open to technological developments. You can find some electronic and computer stores in Pyongyang city, and when you buy a computer or notebook then you will get it without a LAN port. The LAN port is removed, therefore we can not connect the notebook we bought with a LAN cable. In this video, I followed my friend bought a Notebook's charger adapter at an electronics store in Pyongyang, North Korea. The store also sells various items such as televisions, washing machine, refrigerator, DSLR Cameras, External Hard Disk, USB memory, Notebook, and others. ====================================================== Read these links for more information: 1. http://www.timeout.com/seoul/art/instagrams-from-north-korea 2. http://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/oct/07/north-korea-privileged-pyongyang-daily-life 3. http://www.nkeconwatch.com/2016/02/04/inofficial-and-official-exchange-rates-in-north-korea-what-is-the-gap/ 4. https://www.nknews.org/2015/10/residents-respond-how-accurate-is-press-coverage-of-n-korean-life/ 5. http://all-that-is-interesting.com/daily-life-in-north-korea-pyongyang ======================================= Want to see daily life in North Korea? North Korea’s unique AK rifle- Part2

10:22
Many people all over the world are unsettled by the threats and rocket tests conducted by the nation of North Korea and Kim Jong Un. It’s a popular topic of speculation as to what are their intentions. I’m no military strategist but I do feel that a close examination of the design of one of the rifles most often seen guarding Kim gives clues as to his mindset. Here we examine new findings about this helical mag design as well as its history in development and why North Korea is desperate for world recognition.

20 Things You Cannot Buy In North Korea

13:08
10 Regular objects men and women cannot find in North Korea. Subscribe: https://goo.gl/Hnoaw3 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Because of strict United Nations sanctions and the harsh rules set in place by the North Korean government, its residents are limited in terms of what they can buy. You probably don’t think twice about buying a house, purchasing a Starbucks coffee, stocking up on sanitary napkins, or booking a weekend vacation. However, many North Koreans won’t be able to experience these things. If you’d like to see a list of items you can’t buy in the country, make sure to watch our video: 20 Things You Cannot Buy In North Korea. Did you know that buying a Coca-Cola is impossible to do in the country? Well, actually, it’s not entirely impossible. The soda brand doesn’t operate in North Korea at all, but that hasn’t stopped its citizens from bringing in counterfeit Coke from China. Another product that can’t be purchased in North Korea is Apple’s iPad. However, their leader, Kim Jong-un, is reportedly a fan of Apple products. Go figure! The citizens are also banned from purchasing hair dye to color their hair, magazines that aren’t approved by the government, and music from foreign and local artists. Not only that, condoms aren’t readily available either, they’re unable to get access to medicine to treat common ailments and viruses, and they aren’t allowed to buy Christmas trees during the holidays. Make sure you watch our video to find out why! We’ll show you even more shocking things you can’t buy in the country, including real estate, WiFi, healthcare, fertilizer, cable TV, DVD players, jeans, and cigarettes. After you watch our video and let us know which of these banned items surprised you the most. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our Social Media: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/TheTalko Twitter: https://twitter.com/thetalko Instagram: https://instagram.com/the_talko ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For more videos and articles visit: http://www.thetalko.com/

THE NORTH KOREAN SPY - Rust

25:36
Two Countries, separated by nothing but an imaginary line. What will happen when worlds collide? Will peace be found and friendships forged? Or will someone find themselves imprisoned in their own home? Only time will tell... ___________________________ ABOUT THIS GAME: The only aim in Rust is to survive. To do this you will need to overcome struggles such as hunger, thirst and cold. Build a fire. Build a shelter. Kiss animals for meat. Protect yourself from other players, and kiss them for meat. Create alliances with other players and form a town. Whatever it takes to survive. The game tasks players to survive in the wilderness by crafting items using the materials they gather or steal; the player starts with only a rock and a torch. There is only a multiplayer mode and a prevalent concept in Rust is to form and join clans with other players. Raiding is a very common action, usually done in large clans. Since Rust's first alpha launch, animals, partying and the ability to craft armor and weapons have been added. It initially featured zombies as enemies, but subsequently replaced them with bears and wolves. Radiation was also removed due to the frustration it was causing players, although it was later reintroduced. Throughout Rust's alpha release, it was met with mixed critic reviews and many comparisons with other survival games were made, with the most common one being the mixture between DayZ and Minecraft. Reviewers praised the game's concept and gameplay, while also noting the obvious unfinishedness. By the end of 2015, Rust had sold over three million copies. ____________________________ SUBSCRIBE HERE - https://www.youtube.com/faceless?sub_confirmation=1 Twitch - http://www.twitch.tv/faceless Patreon - https://www.patreon.com/facelessYT Merchandise - https://merchyy.com/faceless Twitter - http://www.twitter.com/faceless Discord - https://discord.gg/faceless Instagram - http://www.instagram.com/gram_less Snap Chat: f2DAaceless Steam Group - https://steamcommunity.com/groups/f2DAaceless Business Email: [email protected] About faceless GAMING: faceless GAMING is a channel focused on video games, but definitely not taking them too seriously - you can expect to see games such as ARK, Fortnite, Conan Exiles, Rust, Scum, CSGO and more! Wolhyang General Store in North Korea - Part 1

10:45
Please, READ THE DESCRIPTION! https://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/oct/07/north-korea-privileged-pyongyang-daily-life I visited the WolHyang shop located in WolHyang District, near the Arch of Triumph downtown Pyongyang. The shop is frequently visited by foreign tourists, in this store there are available a variety of souvenirs such as artwork, herbs and so forth. My several visits to the store with my family or while I served as a photographer for several foreign delegations I took them to visit this store. In this store, it is allowed to take pictures and videos. The employees are also friendly and they allowed to take photos together. For this time I tried to take a video, my wife and I want to buy an embroidery painting but the kind of painting that I want is not available then my wife bought some Tea Ginseng. Several waitresses noticed my GoPro camera, but they don’t mind and thought it was a pocket camera. ===================== Since I came to Pyongyang in November 2012 until I left Pyongyang in March 2016 I got so many experiences. I just wanna share a bit of my life experience in North Korea, mostly in Pyongyang. We are foreigners (Diplomats, Expatriates) who live in Pyongyang can roam freely around Pyongyang, and diplomats got more privileged than other expatriates. There are also many Americans (USA), Canadians, Korean American who works as teachers and professors in Pyongyang. Foreigners can travel to other cities outside Pyongyang, but we must request permission to Ministry of Foreign Affairs of North Korea. Since I lived in North Korea, I already travel to other cities in Northern, Western, Southern and Eastern side. Sometimes I travel with a minder, sometimes I just drive my car by my own and with my family (without a minder), #NOTE: I am not a diplomat and didn’t work for embassy. ======================================= Want to see daily life in North Korea? What It's Like To Sell Burgers In North Korea (HBO)

04:40
North Korea is not a capitalist country, so the number of people who’ve actually done business there is quite small. Among them is Patrick Soh, who helped bring fast food to Pyongyang back in 2009, and Geoffrey See, who started Choson Exchange, a group that brings business professionals into North Korea to teach people there how to run businesses. Haircut in North Korea

02:33
I wanted to get a haircut in North Korea and my guides originally brought me to their newest and most modern barber shop. I wanted a more authentic experience so I requested they bring me to an old school barber. They brought me to this place. Local prices for grooming services range from €0.30 to €1.15 euro dollars. I paid €5 Euros (foreigner price) for my haircut.

Dummy diplomacy: North Korean weapons displayed during parade are FAKE and their sunglasses.

03:59
Dummy diplomacy: North Korean weapons displayed during parade are FAKE and their sunglasses aren't even combat ready, US military expert says. North Korea's soldiers mostly carry fake weapons during their mass-scale parades, a former US intelligence officer has said. Michael Pregent believes many of the arms flaunted by menacing-looking North Korean troops during their displays are dummies, and claims even their sunglasses wouldn't be fit for combat. Pregent was asked to look at photographs from an April 15 military parade in the North Korean capital of Pyongyang. He suggested that many of the guns were not real, and hinted many may have even been given toys, in a move designed to boast their strength to the world. 'This was more about sending a message than being combat effective,' Pregent told Fox News, who now serves as an adjunct fellow at the conservative think-tank, the Hudson Institute. The parade was held to mark the 105th birthday of North Korea's founder, Kim Il-sung, the late grandfather of the country's current ruler, Kim Jong-Un. Images from the parade show what appear to be North Korean 'commandos' carrying AK-47 assault rifles with attached grenade-launchers. But Pregent says that the objects seen affixed to the rifles are really 'helical' magazines designed to store bullets in a spiral shape. Pregent says that these magazines are often faulty since they frequently jam. He also doubts that the AK-47s are even loaded since North Korea is believed to have serious shortages of domestically produced ammunition. Pregent says many of the accessories worn by the troops are also far short of military-grade. The sunglasses worn by the 'special ops commandos' are regular, flat-face frames that offer little protection for the eyes. Soldiers in Western countries use specially tailored 'ballistic safety glasses' that wrap around the head. Then there are the projectiles that the troops attach to the end of their rifles. Pregent says that these 'weapons' are 'laughable' because 'you can see the plastic is over the muzzle.' Though he concedes that North Korea may have a substantial RPG capability, Pregent says that the soldiers on display during the parade were most likely given toy missiles 'because Kim Jong-Un doesn't want them to launch one at the viewing stand.' Other troops marching appear to be holding silver-plated rifles, but Pregent believes 'these are most likely painted.' Source: http://www.dailymail.co.uk

Cutting My Hair in North Korea

10:30
Shaving hair in North Korea? Interesting and unique, because the barber in North Korea is mostly women. In Pyongyang, almost in every corner of the city has lots of barbershop, you do not have to worry about your hair longish. If you shave in the usual places (local) room without air conditioning then you will be charged only 10000 won (about 1,2 USD). If you shave in a more classier with air-conditioned rooms it will cost 4-5 US Dollar. In this video I will bring you cycling to a barbershop which is located about 3 km from my home, behind Daesong Department Store, Sanwon Street, Pyongyang. This place is an air-conditioned Barbershop and one of my favorite places to do shave. Although sometimes the electricity off while the shaving process is underway, but fortunately this time in this video the electricity is stable. By the way, the barber woman in this video (I forget her name) is my favorite barber, she was very friendly to me and always give the best service. ======================================= Gear: GoPro Hero4 Silver and GoPro Hero4 Session Music by: https://soundcloud.com/joakimkarud/keep-on-going ======================================= Want to see daily life in North Korea? (THE 7 CHOICES) If you were put in charge of one mission - to take down the North Korean regime - a mission that had previously left world leaders beaten and befuddled, where failure could result in changes to the political and physical landscape for generations to come….what would you do? And time is of the essence here, as the longer you wait, the likelier it is for Dear Leader to complete development of nukes capable of reaching the continental US, or perhaps anywhere else in the world. Actually, according to some reports, it might already be too late! But whether North Korea actually fires is another question altogether. If we are to rid the world of this nefarious regime - I’m talking the regime not the people - we have to consider the options. In this video, I’ll go over the seven way to take down North Korea - including the most destructive, the most convenient, the most secretive, and the most unexpected.

North Korean Type 58 AK

09:22
Sold for $54,625. North Korea was one of several recipients of Soviet military technological aid during the Cold War, being provided the design package and manufacturing assistance for both he SKS and AK-47 rifles. The AK was adopted by North Korea in 1958, in the Type 3 milled-receiver style. This was just shortly before the Soviet Union would introduce its stamped-receiver AKM, having spent nearly 10 years developing and perfecting the sheet metal fabrication expertise required (the original stamped-receiver AK-47 was a failure in mass production). North Korea only produced something on the order of 50,000 Type 58 AKs - a substantial number of guns, although quite small in comparison to most other AK variants produced worldwide. They have found their way into numerous conflicts worldwide, but very few are registered and transferrable in the US, making this one quite the rare example. http://www.patreon.com/ForgottenWeapons Related: North Korean Type 70 Pistol: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-iTmpXDx5s Chinese Type 56 Milled AK: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A6cqYLdIqmI

Will NORTH KOREA and SOUTH KOREA Ever Reunify? - KJ Vids

13:39
Since 1953, the Korean peninsula is divided by a frozen conflict that still awaits a definitive settlement. The recent developments as the signs of detente between North and South Korea or the meeting between the former’s leader Kim Jong Un and US President Donald Trump leave some hope of a peaceful resolution of the Korean issue. But will it actually be the case? As of today, the Korean peninsula remains divided, and this deeply influences the foreign policy of the two Korean states and of the other powers implied in the area. While the recent meetings were certainly historic events, the road ahead still appears to be long. The North has shown some goodwill, but the fundamental issues are still unresolved and most importantly the underlying geopolitical situation has not changed. Korea remains divided, the North’s regime is still in power and wants to remain there, and there is no agreement over the future asset of the Peninsula. Moreover, the current status quo is somehow convenient for all, as any alteration may result in less convenient outcomes and even in an all-out fal. Also, if the US used its military force to attack a foreign country and enforce regime change, the DPRK would once again feel threatened and would probably decide to resume its nuclear programme. Finally, apart from geopolitics, the reunification of Korea would also imply very high cost to develop the former North, and no one really wants to sustain these expenses. Regular Things That Are ILLEGAL In North Korea

10:15
Subscribe to Talltanic http://goo.gl/wgfvrr Watch our "Evidence That Aliens HAVE Visited Earth " video here:- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iL227eb9FSI Watch our "CRAZY Ideas That Actually Worked!" video here- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v0n2wEAiOcg Watch our UNBELIEVABLE Items Found After Tsunamis !" video here- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VNNLwdBI7Gk 30 - Dress for success Kim Jong-Un is the Supreme Leader of North Korea and has held that title since 2011. He has banned any Western clothing including jeans. Their biggest struggle is Pyongyang which borders China, and they’re constantly ensuring that no Western fashion influences spill over from that side. 29 - If the shoe fits Designer shoes are also off the cards if you live in North Korea, so don’t even consider a pair of Jimmy Choo’s, you’ll not find them anywhere. You might be lucky to find a pair of high heels in some of the regions that border China, but that’s about it. 28 - Read all about it Western magazines are also frowned upon and banned in North Korea. It’s impossible to find any lifestyle magazines there, and the government has strict controls on every single item printed in the press. Citizens may only read articles of an educational or political nature, and that’s of course biased towards North Korea. 27 - Eat local Any Western fast-food outlets are also not allowed in North Korea. Not a huge loss, as the street kiosks are said to sell really tasty food, and that locals love the kimchi – which is a spicy cabbage dish. 26 - Show me the money If you do find yourself traveling to North Korea, do note that it’s not necessary to get the local currency as they won’t accept it from tourists. Instead, you can pay for your purchases using euros, yuans, South Korean wons, and US dollars. Don’t bother going in to a shop for locals either, foreigners are denied access into these shops anyway. 25 - Big brother is watching you You’re now aware of the currency situation, but also note that traveling throughout North Korea as a tourist is very limiting too. As a tourist, you have no freedom to just travel wherever you want go. Your every move is controlled by the government, and they even restrict the way you travel… no public transport or taxis for you, you can only go on a guided, pre-planned tour with proper guides from North Korea. Its been said that you can’t even leave your hotel without your guide, even to just nip to the shop across the road! 24 - No photos allowed This is a rule that is not only for the locals but for tourists too. Under no circumstances may you photograph the poor people of North Korea. Around 40% of North Koreans struggle with extreme poverty, but their plight may not be highlighted at all. Kim Jong Un does not want the world to see the poverty and it’s said that he doesn’t want the UN to be aware of how poverty-stricken so many people really are. 23 - No remote required There will certainly be no fighting over the TV remote in North Korea, as TV sets and radios come pre-programmed with certain shows and news programs. There are just 4 official TV channels available. The media as a whole is the most strictly controlled in the world and unless the broadcast involves praising its leader and how great North Korea is, anything foreign and watched without government permission can result in the abrupt end of a person’s life. 22 - No singing allowed If you’re living with these extreme laws and rules, you’d probably want to sing to cheer yourself up, just make sure you sing inside your head because singing in public or out loud is strictly forbidden. 21 - Your opinion doesn’t matter Even with your friends, best to keep them to yourself, because the only opinion you’re allowed, is one that is government approved. 20 - So refreshing There’s a trade embargo from Coca-Cola imposed on North Korea, which makes getting a decent bottle or can of soda rather difficult. There are some reports stating that a few shops in Pyongyang sell decent Coke that was made in China.

Wolhyang General Store in North Korea - Part 2 (Honda Motorcycle)

11:46
Please, READ THE DESCRIPTION! https://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/oct/07/north-korea-privileged-pyongyang-daily-life January 13, 2016 I visited the WolHyang shop located in WolHyang District, near the Arch of Triumph downtown Pyongyang. Sometimes I travel with a minder, sometimes I just drive my car by my own and with my family (without a minder), #NOTE: I am not a diplomat and didn’t work for embassy. http://good.is/ October, 2006: The U.N. sanctioned a long list of delectable goods that could no longer pass over North Korea's borders. This was no typical maneuver to target military build-up or weapon designs. Instead, the U.N. hoped to entice Kim Jong Il away from his nuclear warheads by blacklisting luxury items specific to his extravagant tastes.

DPRK: The Land Of Whispers (North Korea Travel Documentary) (2013)

58:13
North Korea lies somewhere between a 1930′s Soviet Union frozen in time and a dark, futuristic vision of society... as imagined back in the 70′s. "Land of Whispers" invites you to visit arguably the most unique and isolated travel destination in the world - not to criticize, but to observe and listen. Aside from usual highlights such as Pyongyang or Arirang, this unique one-man documentary brings you to areas such as Chongjin or Wonson, still virtually unknown to even google or wikipedia. There, I attempt to pierce through the ever-present 'national mythology' and as much as possible, I try to connect with people - such as the waitress mesmerized by tablet computers, or a tour guide cautiously fascinated by modern pop culture. * Third World Indie Film Festival 2013 (San Francisco, USA) / Best Feature Documentary * * Utopia Film Festival 2013 (Greenbelt, USA) / Official Selection * * Global Peace Film Festival 2013 (Orlando, FL, USA) / Official Selection * * Jayu: The North Korean Human Rights Film Festival 2013 (Canada) / Official Selection * --------------------------- KHAU VAI LOVE MARKET - A feature film about Ethnic Minority love in the remote, Vietnamese mountains. If you liked "Land of Whispers" - do make sure to check out and support my exciting new feature documentary project! I am in post production right now and badly need your help to get the film finished! Visit the project page here: http://igg.me/at/lovemarket . Please share with others and please donate! Any amount helps! --------------------------- *** Some individuals directly connected with the North Korean government have been working to have this film removed from YT and other web sites - first via ambiguous, threatening emails, later through baseless demands and now by flagging the film online for arbitrary, unfounded reasons. I want to assure everyone that I have completed this film with great ethical concern, full transparency and as much as possible in communication with parties who may have been affected by the film. I was not undercover, I was truthful about everything I did every step of the way. YT: I have all proper documentation. I'm doing all my best to keep the film up. If they succeed in shutting it down, i will do my best to re-upload along with a list of alternative web sites where you can see it. *** --------------------------- SUPPORT THE FILM AND FILMMAKER! Friends, please support this project by donating! PayPal Donate: http://goo.gl/6bnA1 The film is non-commercial, was made with private money and is available for viewing for free. Due to abusive YouTube policies, I also make absolutely no profit from the ads displayed on the film by Google against my will. All funds raised will be used for festival/contest fees as well as for upcoming projects, such as my new feature doc about the Khau Vai Love Market in remote, mountainous Vietnam. Any amount helps. If you like the film, if you want to see more - please, please make sure to donate! --------------------------- SOUNDTRACK Listen to the soundtrack here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YK5xUquvNhk&list=PLYTeFCgrrNt1CXL3iG6pkIBn0xdOoIM9M&index=1 All songs are listed in the film's end credits! RP46 Variations: Russian, North Korean, and US Reproduction

28:59
FYI, the Russian kit in this video is currently for sale on GunBroker. http://www.patreon.com/ForgottenWeapons Cool Forgotten Weapons merchandise! http://shop.bbtv.com/collections/forgotten-weapons The RP-46 was the final iteration of the Degtyarev DP27/DPM light machine gun, modified to feed from Maxim/SG43/PK belts instead of pan magazines. As such, it was able to serve the role of a universal machine gun like the MG34 and MG42 until the Soviet Union was able to develop a true purpose-built GPMG in the PK. Because the RP-46 is a very rare firearm in collectors' hands today, it is not well understood by most. While the top feed adapter is known, many people do not realize that several other elements of the weapon were changed at the same time, including a complete redesign of the gas block. Today we are looking at a Russian-made set of RP-46 parts and also a North Korean set (North Korea adopted the design as the Type 64, with several changes form the Soviet pattern). We will also look at the American-made reproduction RP46 top cover made by SMG Guns of Texas. The reproduction adapter has several improvements over the originals, while maintaining a very authentic look. Most significantly, it can be used without any permanent modification to a semiautomatic or fully automatic DP/DPM. If you enjoy Forgotten Weapons, check out its sister channel, InRangeTV! http://www.youtube.com/InRangeTVShow
