Primeira parte da adaptação para a TV do livro de Terry Pratchett, A Cor da Magia. Legendado em PT-BR. Legendas criadas por fãs, sem fins lucrativos. The Colour of Magic é o primeiro livro da série Discworld, do autor inglês Terry Pratchett. 'The Colour of Magic' by Terry Pratchett - Fantasy Book Review

18:28
‘The Colour of Magic’ – Book Review - Friday Fantasy Show – Episode 174. The Bottled Imp goes on a little holiday in search of ‘The Colour of Magic’ written by Sir Terry Pratchett. First published in 1983. I was about 15 or 16 when I first read ‘The Colour of Magic’. I remember seeing the colourful, cartoon cover on the shelves of Forbidden Planet in London and thinking, “That looks like the book for me!” And I was right. By then a number of books in the Discworld series were published so I soon devoured the rest of them. I must have read the first 10 or so back-to-back. But then I’m not sure what happened. I stopped reading them and lost touch with the entire goings on in the Pratchett universe. Fast forward to The Bottled Imp years, and I decided as part of our new Monday show, The Bottled Imp Show, to read all 41 Discworld novels (some are short stories - The Great Fantasy Challenge), in publication order. But not only that, to read one novel a week! ‘The Colour of Magic’ is the first in the Discworld series and the one that planted a few seeds of how the universe was shaped. The premise of all the Discworld novels is as follows. A planet-sized flat disc carried through space on the backs of four huge elephants – Berilia, Tubul, Great T'Phon and Jerakeen – who themselves stand on the shell of Great A'Tuin, a gigantic sea turtle. The surface of the disc contains oceans and continents, and with them, civilisations, cities, forests and mountains. If you'd like to join Ken in The Great Fantasy Challenge, here's the full list of the Discworld novels written by Terry Pratchett: 1) The Colour of Magic (1983) (Rincewind) 2) The Light Fantastic (1986) (Rincewind) 3) Equal Rites (1987) (Witches) 4) Mort (1987) (Death) 5) Sourcery (1988) (Rincewind) 6) Wyrd Sisters (1988) (Witches) 7) Pyramids (1989) (One-off) 8) Guards! Guards! (1989) (City Watch) 9) Faust Eric (1990) (Rincewind) 10) Moving Pictures (1990) (One-off) 11) Reaper Man (1991) (Death) 12) Witches Abroad (1991) (Witches) 13) Small Gods (1992) (One-off) 14) Lords and Ladies (1992) (Witches) 15) Troll Bridge (1992) (Short story) 16) Men at Arms (1993) (City Watch) 17) Theatre of Cruelty (1993) (Short story) 18) Soul Music (1994) (Death) 19) Interesting Times (1994) (Rincewind) 20) Maskerade (1995) (Witches) 21) Feet of Clay (1996) (City Watch) 22) Hogfather (1996) (Death) 23) Jingo (1997) (City Watch) 24) The Last Continent (1998) (Rincewind) 25) Carpe Jugulum (1998) (Witches) 26) The Sea and Little Fishes (1998) (Short story) 27) The Fifth Elephant (1999) (City Watch) 28) The Truth (2000) (One-off) 29) Thief of Time (2001) (Death) 30) The Last Hero (2001) (Rincewind, although this is debatable) 31) The Amazing Maurice And His Educated Rodents (2001) 32) Night Watch (2002) (City Watch) 33) Death and What Comes Next (2002) (Short story) 34) The Wee Free Men (2003) (Tiffany Aching) 35) Monstrous Regiment (2003) (One-off) 36) A Hat Full of Sky (2004) (Tiffany Aching) 37) Going Postal (2004) (Post Office) 38) Once More* With Footnotes (2004) (Compilation: short works) 39) Thud! Terry Pratchett's Discworld | Where To Start?

07:24
Terry Pratchett's Discworld is a fictional universe in which he has set more than 40 comic fantasy books. It includes some of my all time favourite works of fiction. Further Note: The Discworld audiobooks are voiced by the EPIC Tony Robinson who does a wonderful job of bringing these wacky comedic characters to life. If you're in the mood for an audiobook I cannot recommend these more highly! This time I review 'The Color Of Magic' by Sir Terry Pratchett. This is the first book in the Discworld series and at it's core it is an introduction to the Discworld explained by an adventure that includes Rincewince the Wizard, Twoflower the Tourist, their trusty magical luggage chest and others. Hope you and enjoy and till next word. The Simplicity of Logic's Blog Page: http://simplicityoflogic.blogspot.sg/ The Simplicity of Logic's Youtube Page: http://youtu.be/7UavH-98-Mc

The Colour of Magic & The Light Fantastic (book reviews)

08:21
This is a joint, non-spoiler review of The Colour of Magic and The Light Fantastic which are both by Terry Pratchett and are books 1 and 2 of the Discworld series. I really found myself captivated by the world and I would recommend this if you like fun, light-hearted and witty fantasies! A brilliantly imagined world. ***Also please excuse me calling Great A'Tuin a 'he' as the sex of the giant turtle is actually unknown.*** Please let me know what you thought of these if you have read them as I love hearing about your views! Review of The Color of Magic Part 1

11:13
This is probably the first 2 part film I have ever watched and I have to say I am very entertained, charmed, spellbound and enchanted (heh, magic puns). Being a lover of all things wizardy and elemental, I fell head over feet for this particular film. Terry Pratchett is a real genius and a creative God amongst us inferior mortals. I cannot wait to see what happens in Part 2 ! More to come !

Story Time With Endragh: Color Of Magic Part 3

21:44
Color Of Magic by Terry Pratchett A flat world sitting on the backs of four elephants who hurtle through space balanced on a giant turtle. In truth, the Discworld is not so different from our own. Yet, at the same time, very different...but not so much. In this, the maiden Voyage through Terry Pratchett's divinely and recognizably twisted alternate dimension, the well-meaning but remarkably inept wizard Rincewind encounters something hitherto unknown in the Discworld: a tourist! Twoflower has arrived, Luggage by his side, to take in the sights and, unfortunately, has cast his lot with a most inappropriate tour guide - a decision that could result in Twoflower's becoming not only Discworld's first visitor from elsewhere...but quite possibly, portentously, its very last. And, of course, he's brought Luggage along, which has a mind of it's own. And teeth. Want to suggest a book? Here are the guidelines: https://youtu.be/tPz5px9Tpxs Come over here if you want to talk about the books: https://twitter.com/endragh I also have a Twitch if you want to talk in general: https://www.twitch.tv/endraghmn

Review of The Color of Magic Part 2

12:36
We get more information about villainous, traitorous Trayvon the wizard and his intentions. Seems we have a megalomaniacal idiot on our hands who wants nothing more but to conquer and conquest everything. Twoflower is still a magnificent character, one who wants the best for everyone and is the eternal optimist. Rincewind, on the other hand, is the perfect foil to Twoflower's glass-half full approach to life.

'The Light Fantastic' by Terry Pratchett - Fantasy Book Review

16:59
‘The Light Fantastic’ – Book Review - Friday Fantasy Show – Episode 175. The Bottled Imp continues our exploration of the Discworld universe with the ‘The Light Fantastic’ written by Sir Terry Pratchett. First published in 1986. I was about 15 or 16 when I first read ‘The Colour of Magic’, book 1 of the Discworld series. I remember seeing the colourful, cartoon cover on the shelves of Forbidden Planet in London and thinking, “That looks like the book for me!” And I was right. Fast forward to The Bottled Imp years, and I decided as part of our new Monday show, The Bottled Imp Show, to read all 41 Discworld novels (some are short stories - The Great Fantasy Challenge), in publication order. But not only that, to read one novel a week! ‘The Light Fantastic’ is the second book in the Discworld series and also a direct sequel to the first book ‘The Colour of Magic’. As far as I know (not read them all yet!) all the other novels are stand alone. The set up of ‘The Light Fantastic’ as described from Wikipedia: The book begins shortly after the ending of The Colour of Magic, with wizard Rincewind, Twoflower and the Luggage falling from the Discworld. They are saved when the Octavo, the most powerful book of magic on the Discworld, readjusts reality to prevent the loss of one of its eight spells, which has resided in Rincewind's head since his expulsion from Unseen University: Rincewind, Twoflower and the Luggage end up in the Forest of Skund.
