Ancient Greece Delphi & the Oracle of Apollo
Nearly 2800 years ago, a group of Greek settlers landed on the coast of Italy. That event marked the start the process which created Magna Graecia, named after the motherland. Join us as we walk through the streets of Cumae, Pasteum, Puteoli, and Neapolis, reconstructed using the most advanced computer graphics. Magna Graecia (Latin meaning "Great Greece", Greek: Μεγάλη Ἑλλάς, Megáli Hellás) is the name of the coastal areas of Southern Italy on the Tarentine Gulf that were extensively colonized by Greek settlers; particularly the Achaean colonies of Tarentum, Croton, and Sybaris, but also, more loosely, the cities of Cumae and Neapolis to the north. The colonists, who began arriving in the 8th century BC, brought with them their Hellenic civilization, which was to leave a lasting imprint in Italy, particularly on the culture of ancient Rome. In the 8th and 7th centuries BC, for various reasons, including demographic crisis (famine, overcrowding, etc.), the search for new commercial outlets and ports, and expulsion from their homeland, Greeks began to settle in southern Italy (Cerchiai, pp. 14--18). Also during this period, Greek colonies were established in places as widely separated as the eastern coast of the Black Sea, Eastern Libya and Massalia (Marseille). They included settlements in Sicily and the southern part of the Italian Peninsula. The Romans called the area of Sicily and the foot of Italy Magna Graecia (Latin, "Great Greece"), since it was so densely inhabited by the Greeks. The ancient geographers differed on whether the term included Sicily or merely Apulia and Calabria — Strabo being the most prominent advocate of the wider definitions. With this colonization, Greek culture was exported to Italy, in its dialects of the Ancient Greek language, its religious rites and its traditions of the independent polis. An original Hellenic civilization soon developed, later interacting with the native Italic civilisations. The most important cultural transplant was the Chalcidean/Cumaean variety of the Greek alphabet, which was adopted by the Etruscans; the Old Italic alphabet subsequently evolved into the Latin alphabet, which became the most widely used alphabet in the world. Many of the new Hellenic cities became very rich and powerful, like Neapolis (Νεάπολις, Naples, "New City"), Syracuse, Acragas, and Sybaris (Σύβαρις). Other cities in Magna Graecia included Tarentum (Τάρας), Epizephyrian Locri (Λοκροί Ἐπιζεφύριοι), Rhegium (Ῥήγιον), Croton (Κρότων), Thurii (Θούριοι), Elea (Ἐλέα), Nola (Νῶλα), Ancona (Ἀγκών), Syessa (Σύεσσα), Bari (Βάριον), and others. Following the Pyrrhic War in the 3rd century BC, Magna Graecia was absorbed into the Roman Republic.

The Oracle - Cumaean Sibyl - Prophetess and Guide to the Underworld
Latest Upload ALL-SEEING ANGEL: https://youtu.be/oNOpqnDkstY --~-- The Oracle of Apollo, the Cumaean Sibyl was the priestess presiding over the Apollonian oracle at Cumae, a Greek colony located near Naples, Italy. A Prophetess, seer of ancient Greece. https://www.patreon.com/ANCIENTMYSTERY The word sibyl comes (via Latin) from the ancient Greek word sibylla, meaning prophetess. There were many sibyls in different locations throughout the ancient world. Because of the importance of the Cumaean Sibyl in the legends of early Rome as codified in Virgil's Aeneid 6, and because of her proximity to Rome, the Cumaean Sibyl became the most famous among the Romans. The Erythraean Sibyl from modern-day Turkey was famed among Greeks, as was the oldest Hellenic oracle, the Sibyl of Dodona, possibly dating to the second millennium BC according to Herodotus, favored in the east. The Cumaean Sibyl is one of the four sibyls painted by Raphael at Santa Maria della Pace . She was also painted by Andrea del Castagno now held at the Uffizi Gallery, and in the Sistine Ceiling of Michelangelo her powerful presence overshadows every other sibyl, even her younger and more beautiful sisters, such as the Delphic Sibyl. There are various names for the Cumaean Sibyl besides the "Herophile" of Pausanias and Lactantius or the Aeneid's "Deiphobe, daughter of Glaucus" "Amaltheia", "Demophile" or "Taraxandra" are all offered in various references. _lease watch the video for more information on the Prophetess known as the Cumaean Sibyl and much more from Greek mythology here at mythology explored by ANCIENT MYSTERY on Youtube. The Archaeological site of the Nekromanteion - Ancient Greek oracle of the dead
The Archaeological site of the Nekromanteion - Ancient Greek oracle of the dead The Archaeological site of the Nekromanteion rests atop a hill near the confluence of the Acheron , Pyriphlegethon and Cocytus , three of the five rivers associated with Hades, was identified in 1958 by the Greek archaeologist Sotirios Dakaris. It was the place that Homer sent Odysseus to seek advice from a long-dead oracle, and where he was horrified by visions of Hades, and it also appears in a sordid chapter of Herodotus’ Histories. The Necromanteion was an ancient temple dedicated to the god of the Underworld, Hades, and his consort, the goddess Persephone. According to ancient Greek beliefs, while the bodies of the dead decayed in the earth, their souls would be released, and travelled to the Underworld via fissures in the earth. The spirits of the dead were said to possess abilities that the living did not have, including the power to foretell the future. Temples were therefore erected in places thought to be entrances to the Underworld to practice necromancy (communication with the dead) in order to receive prophecies. Human presence on the hill is verified since the Late Bronze Period ( 16th - 11th century B.C.) . The rectangular ground plan complex of Hellenistic Period has strong encslosure wall and an entrance at the northern part. The eastern part consist of the main building with the underground hall and the surrounding corridors and auxiliary rooms. At the western part, an extension added to the initial building during the late 3rd century B.C., there are an open area, a fortified tower, storage rooms and residences. After the 15th century, the Monastery of Ag. Ioannis Prodromos of Lykouresi, a metochion of Mount Sinai with a large property was established. The Katholikon and the cells of the Monastery on its northern part were surrounded by a high enclosure wall. During the first half of the 19th century a two- storey fortified house was construced. On the first floor, there was the residence area with the fireplace, while on the ground floor there was the main storage room. The defensive character of the building is proved by the tower, located at the southeastern edge of the house. The building was restored and houses an exhibition open to the public. Although there were many oracles in ancient Greece, there is only one known oracle of the dead. It was an entryway to the underworld, and a place where the shades of the dead could reveal the future to the living. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Music: QUEEN OF THE SKIES by Nicolai Heidlas Music https://soundcloud.com/nicolai-heidlas Creative Commons — Attribution 3.0 Unported— CC BY 3.0 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/ Music promoted by Audio Library https://youtu.be/1StjgRTfJg4 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you like what you see, subscribe and click the bell to enable notifications for more travel videos. https://www.youtube.com/verynicetravel I really appreciate your support! ❤️❤️❤️ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- IMPORTANT NOTE: The content of this channel, including: videos, images and graphics must not be downloaded for the purpose of being re-uploaded to YouTube or another 3rd party website. How Hanuman taught a lesson to Shani Dev ? | Hindu Mythology | Oracle Talks #24
How Hanuman taught a lesson to Shani Dev ?   I think we all know about Surya Dev's son Shani Dev. Most of us feel scared even on listening to his name because once Shani Dev's Dasha starts it leaves the person's life only after seven and a half years time. But at the same time, it has been believed that Hanuman's devotees should not get scared of Shani Dev. In this video, we will be going to tell you the reason why Hanuman's devotees should not get scared of Shani Dev.   In the time of Kaliyuga, one evening Hanuman was busy in praying to Lord Ram, that suddenly Shani Dev arrived there. And warned Hanuman that he should get prepared as after some time he is going to face his Sade-Satti Dasha. In kalyuga, no god or Devta will be alive on earth will going to face his sade-Satti dasha and now its Hanuman's turn to face it. On this Hanuman replied that on devotees of Lord Ram only Shri Ram is effective and nobody else can affect Lord Ram devotees in any way.   So, you can go to somebody else, not me. Then, Shani Dev answers that he has been given such power by the creator of the universe that in kalyuga, everyone has to face his Sade-Satti dasha.   So, from now Onwards Sade-Satti Dasha starts on him as he is living on earth in kalyuga and he can't be spared from it.   And now, he is coming in his body.   Hanuman said ok fine if you are insisting too much to come in my body then its ok, but tell me where will you stay in my body.   On this Shani Dev proudly replied that in my Sade-Satti dasha, for first two and half years, I sit on person's head and keep on disturbing his mind.   In second two and half years, i sit in person's body below the head till the navel and makes him unhealthy and sick.   In the last two and half years, I sit in the legs of the person's body and divert him to the wrong path.   After telling all this to Hanuman, Shani Dev finally sat on Hanuman's head. Due to which Hanuman started feeling itchy in his head and to stop this itchiness he kept a huge mountain on his head. After this Shani Dev started feeling uncomfortable due to its heavy weight and asked Hanuman what are you doing?   Hanuman answered that God's creation is helpless in front of his rules, just like that I am helpless in front of my behaviour. I am doing my work, you do your work.   After this HanumanHnuaman kept another mountain on his head, due to which Shani Dev condition was becoming more worse than before.   He requested Hanuman to remove them from his head and talked about compromise.   On this Hanuman kept one more huge mountain on his head.   Due to which Shani Dev started shouting in pain and apologize for his mistake and asked for forgiveness. He further said please leave me, I won't come close to you ever now.   On this Hanuman kept another fourth mountain on his head. Again Shani Dev shouted in extreme pain and said please leave me, I won't come close to you and even to those people who worship you, please let me go now. Then finally, Hanuman removed all the mountains from his head and allowed Shani Dev to get down from his head and go. Greek Mythology - Golden fleece myth
The golden fleece was the skin left by the ram that Nefeli sent to save her son Frixos from the sacrifice his father wanted to do. King Athamas having taken the oracle from Delphi's oracle that it was his son's responsibility that he did not grow wheat that year, decided to sacrifice him. So Nefeli's mother, who had died, sent a ram with a golden fleece from the sky to grab him from the imminent sacrifice. The ram grabbed Frixos and Elli and took them to Kolchida. There Frixos sacrificed the ram to Jupiter and gave his golden fleece to the King of Colchis, Ahetis, who hosted him. He hung the golden fleece on an oak tree in the woods of god Aris and put an eager dragon to keep it.

The Ancient Egyptian Oracle ~ part 1
An intro to this interesting oracle that I picked up for a song at my local used books shop.
The Delphic Oracle (In Our Time)
Melvyn Bragg and his guests discuss the Delphic Oracle, the most important source of prophecies in the ancient world. In central Greece, on the flank of Mount Parnassus, lies the ruined city of Delphi. For over a thousand years, between approximately 800 BC and 400 AD, this was the most sacred place in the ancient world. Its chief attraction was the Delphic Oracle, which predicted the future and offered petitioners advice.Travellers journeyed for weeks for a chance to ask the oracle a question. The answers, given by a mysterious priestess called the Pythia, were believed to come straight from the god Apollo. At the height of Greek civilisation the oracle was revered, and its opinion sought in some of the most significant conflicts of the age. Its activities were documented by historians including Xenophon and Plutarch, and it was regularly depicted in Greek tragedy, most famously Sophocles's masterpiece Oedipus the King. With: Paul CartledgeA G Leventis Professor of Greek Culture at Cambridge UniversityEdith HallProfessor of Classics and Drama at Royal Holloway, University of LondonNick LoweReader in Classical Literature at Royal Holloway, University of London.Producer: Thomas Morris.

Greece Ancient Delphy Drone Aerial Video Delphi The most famous ancient seat of the oracle
Delphi (/ˈdɛlfaɪ/ or /ˈdɛlfi/; Greek: Δελφοί, [ðelˈfi])[1] is famous as the ancient sanctuary that grew rich as the seat of the oracle that was consulted on important decisions throughout the ancient classical world. Moreover, it was considered as the navel (or centre) of the world by the Greeks as represented by the Omphalos. It occupies an impressive site on the south-western slope of Mount Parnassus overlooking the coastal plain to the south and the valley of Phocis. It is now an extensive archaeological site and the modern town is nearby. It is recognised by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in having had a phenomenal influence in the Ancient world, as evidenced by the rich monuments built there by most of the important ancient Greek city-states, demonstrating their fundamental Hellenic unity. Ancient Oracles & Covert Intelligence
What was the motive of the Phoenicians in establishing the oracles in Greece? What strategic role did oracles play on an international level? What is the ultimate significance of Apollo killing the python (snake of a goddess) and assuming his position at the oracle? I have more questions than answers here. The book mentioned was The Craft of Intelligence by Allen Dulles. Site mentioned: http://www.ancient-wisdom.com/oracles.htm

Unheard Love story of Draupadi and Karan | Hindu Mythology | Oracle talks #26
Unheard love story of Draupadi and Karan In Mahabharat, everyone knows about Draupadi and her five husbands only a few of us know that Draupadi was in love with Karan, not Arjun. But both Karan and Draupadi never expressed their love for each other due to family's honor and society norms. Draupadi was the daughter of Panchal's state King Drupad. Many stories about Draupadi were famous like about her beauty, intelligence, patience and because of all these many Kings were impressed by her and wanted to marry her. But Maharathi Karan was quite impressed with her boldness and fearlessness. Once Draupadi was outside her palace with her friends for an outing. That time Maharathi Karan got a glimpse of her and fall in love with her that moment only. For Draupadi's swayamvar, her father Drupad sent few photographs to her of many famous Kings. One of them was of Karan as Duryodhana use to treat him like a brother, and he uses to get treated like a royal family member by all. The moment Draupadi saw Karan's photo, she also fell in love with him. On the day of swayamvar, Draupadi eyes were searching Karan among all the Kings and Pandavas present there Draupadi's father Drupad once told her about the revenge he has to take from Bhishma. And on the same time, Draupadi realized that Karan is a Sutputra (Untouchable's son). If she marry's him she will become a Daasi (Maid) and lead a low-class life ahead and even she cannot able to help her father in taking his revenge from Bhishma. So, she made a hard decision to marry Arjun in the swayamvar and insulted Karan badly by addressing him with Sutputra (Untouchable's son) and she can't marry him as he is untouchable. On this, Karan got shocked to hear such insulting words from Draupadi who he considered a very bold and intelligent girl. And after that, he started hating her a lot because of her such bad behavior towards him in the swayamvar. But even after getting married to Pandavas Draupadi still loved Karan. As what she did to Karan in her swayamvar was intentional and planned by her as she doesn't want to go against her father. After Draupadi's marriage Karan also got married. When the Kauravas were insulting Draupadi in the court and Duryodhana asked Dushasyan to force Draupadi to sit on his lap, that time everyone present there were quietly watching all this. Draupadi was expecting help from Karan's side but Karan also kept silent because of his insult by Draupadi in her swayamvar. At the time when Bhishampitama was dying, Maharathi Karan came there to meet him, that time Bhishampitama told him the secret love of Draupadi towards him. When Karan was telling various incidents about his love story to Bhishampitama, Draupadi also heard all of them. then Draupadi realized that she is not the only one who loves Karan, Even Karan loves her very much. But when in Mahabharat war Arjun kills Karan, that moment only this unheard love story of Draupadi and Karan ends. -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- Please watch: "5 major curses of the Mahabharata | Hindu Mythology | Oracle Talks #38" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WfzhRSvf9QQ -~-~~-~~~-~~-~-

Ancient Civilizations Worship of Apollo
For many centuries, Greeks, Romans, Persians and Egyptians turned to Apollo, the lunar God, in hopes of being granted good fortune. This show chronicles the sanctuaries built in Apollo's honor, and includes Delos in the Cyclades, Delphi in the region of Phocis and Didymi in Ionia. Delphi (/ˈdɛlfaɪ/ or /ˈdɛlfi/; Greek: Δελφοί, [ðelˈfi]) is both an archaeological site and a modern town in Greece on the south-western spur of Mount Parnassus in the valley of Phocis. In myths dating to the classical period of Ancient Greece (510-323 BCE), the site of Delphi was believed to be determined by Zeus when he sought to find the centre of his "Grandmother Earth" (Ge, Gaea, or Gaia). He sent two eagles flying from the eastern and western extremities, and the path of the eagles crossed over Delphi where the omphalos, or navel of Gaia was found. Earlier myths include traditions that Pythia, or the Delphic oracle, already was the site of an important oracle in the pre-classical Greek world (as early as 1400 BCE) and, rededicated, served as the major site during classical times for the worship of the god Apollo after he slew Python, "a dragon" who lived there and protected the navel of the Earth. "Python" (derived from the verb pythein, "to rot") is claimed by some to be the original name of the site in recognition of Python which Apollo defeated. The Homeric Hymn to Delphic Apollo recalled that the ancient name of this site had been Krisa. Others relate that it was named Pytho and that Pythia, the priestess serving as the oracle, was chosen from their ranks by a group of priestesses who officiated at the temple. Apollo's sacred precinct in Delphi was a panhellenic sanctuary, where every four years, starting in 586 BCE athletes from all over the Greek world competed in the Pythian Games, one of the four panhellenic (or stephanitic) games, precursors of the Modern Olympics. The victors at Delphi were presented with a laurel crown (stephanos) which was ceremonially cut from a tree by a boy who re-enacted the slaying of the Python. Delphi was set apart from the other games sites because it hosted the mousikos agon, musical competitions. These Pythian Games rank second among the four stephanitic games chronologically and based on importance. These games, though, were different from the games at Olympia in that they were not of such vast importance to the city of Delphi as the games at Olympia were to the area surrounding Olympia. Delphi would have been a renowned city whether or not it hosted these games; it had other attractions that led to it being labeled the "omphalos" (navel) of the earth, in other words, the center of the world. In the inner hestia ("hearth") of the Temple of Apollo, an eternal flame burned. After the battle of Plataea, the Greek cities extinguished their fires and brought new fire from the hearth of Greece, at Delphi; in the foundation stories of several Greek colonies, the founding colonists were first dedicated at Delphi.

The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons Dungeons: Ancient Ruins (Part 3)
Finishing up my personal favourite dungeon and yet ANOTHER NES Zelda boss. This place reminds me of the Indiana Jones films, due to the traps, darts shooting from walls and wall-closing room (see previous video). The boss this time is Manhandla, a 4 headed Deku-Baba like creature. This is one of the tougher bosses in the game, so first time players may have trouble. (I know I did) Equip the Roc's Feather and Magical Boomerang, you won't need your sword for a while. Hit its mouths with the boomerang when they open, a curved shot will help, but avoid standing still for too long. After a few hits, each mouth will be destroyed. Be careful, the less mouths it has left, the faster the boss moves. Once all the mouths are gone, get close to the remainder of Manhandla's body and hit it repeatedly with the Magical Boomerang until it's heart is exposed. The hits must be consecutive (you'll see I fail several times) Then all it takes is one sword strike to finish the battle. (assuming you have the upgraded sword) Notes: -In the room with the two buttons, I'm guessing one reveals the staircase and the other summons a whole bunch of enemies. I got lucky twice in a row, which is not like me at all. -You know those mushroom things you need to puch into pits? Now that you have the slingshot there's an easierway to get rid of them. Simply fire a Gale Seed.

Lord Hanuman's marriage, his wife and son | Hindu Mythology | Oracle Talks #20
Lord Hanuman's marriage, his wife and his son   As we all know that Lord Hanuman is famous as Bal-brahamchari but in this video we will going to tell you all about his marriage and son.   In india, there is a huge temple where Lord Hanuman is worshipped along with his wife in Andhra Pradesh's Kambu district.   It has been believed that if any couple is facing problems in their married life, they should visit this temple and all their marital problems will get solved.   Now, firstly we will going to tell you about Lord Hanuman's marriage.   We all know that Surya Dev is Lord Hanuman's Guru and he has given him all the knowledge and learning.   Lord Hanuman decided to follow his Guru Surya Dev all the time to gain all kinds of knowledge from him.   As Surya Dev keeps on rotating and moving all the time, Lord Hanuman also did the same.   At once Surya Dev realised that as hanuman ji follows him all the while, he can't provide him the knowledge about marriage and marital life as Lord Hanuman is unmarried and Bal-Brahamchari .   But as Lord Hanuman has taken pledge to gain all the knowledge from Surya Dev, He can't move back in any case.   To solve, this dilema, Surya Dev decided to marry his daughter Suvarchala (A Ascetic) to Lord Hanuman (A Celibate).   Lord Hanuman agreed and he got married to Suvarchala with all the vedic mantras and rituals.   After marriage, Lord Hanuman's wife Suvarchala went for Tapasya (Mortification).   Now, we will discuss about his son   When Lord Hanuman was searching Sita along with Lord Ram and Laxman.   That time, on reaching Lanka, he burnt all the Lanka state with his tail. Due to which his body started sweating and to get relieve, he went to the ocean, that time few drops of his sweat fell in the mouth of a fish.   That fish got pregnant by those drops of Lord Hanuman's sweat.   Ahiravan take away that fish to "Paatal Lok" (The Nether World) and cut the fish's stomach.   From it a monkey like human came out. That's Lord Hanuman's son "Makardhavaj".   After that Ahiravan appointed him as "Davarpal" (gate keeper) of Paatal Lok (The Nether World).   Later when Ahiravan took Ram and Laxman to Patal Lok (The Nether World).   Lord Hanuman also followed them. And when he reached Paatal Lok (The Nether World) he saw a monkey like human on the "Davar" (Gate) of Paatal Lok (The nether World).   On asking about his introduction, he replied that he is son of "Pawan Putra".   After this, Makardhavaj is known as the son of Lord Hanuman and these stories are mentioned in Valmiki's Ramayana. -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- Please watch: "5 major curses of the Mahabharata | Hindu Mythology | Oracle Talks #38" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WfzhRSvf9QQ -~-~~-~~~-~~-~-

Pandora’s Box Everyone knows you shouldn’t open Pandora’s box! But do you know exactly why?? Who is Pandora? And where’d she get the box in the first place?? The story of Pandora begins with a feud between the gods. Zeus had given Prometheus and Epimetheus the job of creating all life on earth. Kind of a big responsibility!! And they had to be pretty creative!!! 5. Odysseus and the Cyclops After spending 9 years at the battle of Troy, the triumphant Odysseus and his men set sail for home, but on their way, they were blown of course. It would take them years and many obstacles before they could get back. At one point, they came across an island, and looking for some respite from their journey, they decided to make landfall. 4. Perseus and Medusa Perseus was the son of the god Zeus, and the human woman Princess Danae. An Oracle had told her father that her son (his grandson) would kill him so he locked her away in a tower. Zeus discovered her and paid her a visit because of course she was quite beautiful, and Perseus was born. 3. King Midas King Midas had it all. He ruled over the country of Phrygia and had everything a King could ever want. But beyond the luxurious castle, extravagant food, and a beautiful daughter that would one day rule, the only thing he truly cared about was his gold. He would spend most of his days counting his gold, and covering himself in it and bathing in it. He was pretty obsessed! 2. Theseus and the Minotaur King Minos of Crete had a problem. His wife, Pasiphae, had cheated on him- sleeping with a bull that had been sent by Zeus. She became pregnant, and gave birth to the Minotaur, a half man, half bull monster. Embarrassed by the affair, but unwilling to kill the Minotaur, King Minos decided to hide it in the Labyrinth underneath the Palace of Knossos. 1. Jason and the Golden Fleece Jason was the rightful heir to the kingdom of Iolcus, but his uncle Pelias had stolen the throne from his father. Fearful that he would lose grip on power, Pelias had Jason’s father locked up and, to save his life, Jason’s mother smuggled him out of the city where he was raised by a centaur. When he was old enough, Jason set out to regain what was rightfully his. Mahabharat's Greatest Warrior Barbaric | Hindu Mythology | Oracle Talks #25
Mahabharata's Greatest Warrior: Barbaric   Today we'll be going to tell you about one great warrior of Mahabharat who was capable of finishing Mahabharat war in just 30 seconds. We are talking about barbaric, who is also known as Khattu Shyam. He was Bheem's grandson and Ghatotkach's son.   The question rises now that what was the special powers barbaric had that he could finish Mahabharat war in 30 seconds.   Barbaric had three arrows which were given to him by Lord Shiva as a boon.   The first arrow uses to target the goal, the second arrow uses to protect the one who was targeted and the third arrow uses to finish the target in just one go.   At the time of starting of Mahabharat war, Barbaric came to Shri Krishan and asked him from whose side he should fight the war.   Shri Krishan smiled and answered that with three arrows how can he fight in the war. If he wants to fight he must prove himself first. Then Barbaric and Shri Krishan went to the jungle, there Shri Krishan asked him to target each leaf of a tree with his arrow and make holes in them.   The moment Barbaric closed his eyes to shoot the arrow, Shri Krishan hid one leaf below his foot. Barbaric shot his first arrow and targeted all the leaves of the tree. Then he shot his third arrow and made holes in all the leaves of the tree.   Shri Krishan told Barbaric that he got impressed with him but one leaf is still left unholed that he hid below his foot the moment he closed his eyes.   Then both Barbaric and Shri Krishan came on the ground of Mahabharat war, but still, Shri Krishan was in a dilemma that Barbaric will be going to fight from the side of their enemies. As according to the rules to use the three arrows, firstly: they can't be used for one's personal enemy. Secondly: they can be used for the weaker side only. Then Shri Krishan asked Barbaric from whose side you want to fight, he replied he wants to fight from Pandavas side because in this war they are the weaker side. On this Shri Krishan said if you will be with them in war, then after some time the Kauravas will become weak in front of Pandavas and then he has to fight from their side.   As according to the rules to use the three arrows they can be used only from the weaker side. In such situation, Barbaric has to change his side again and again in war till all the warriors of both the side won't die. In this way nobody was able to win the war then Shri Krishan asked Barbaric to cut his head and give it to him. Barbaric was one of the biggest devotees of Shri Krishan, so before cutting his head, he requested him to watch the whole war of Mahabharat. Then Shri Krishan put Barbaric's head on the peak of the highest mountain so that he can watch the whole war.   After the war ends, Pandavas started arguments about that due to whom they got the victory. On this Shri Krishan said only Barbaric can answer this as he was watching the whole war. Barbaric answered that it is because of Shri Krishan that they won the war. As he played a very important and crucial role in the whole war.   After the war ended, Barbaric's head flowed in the river.   In the times of Kalyuga, in Rajasthan's village Khattu Barbaric's head was recovered. the King of that place built a temple there and the place is known as Shyam Kund now. -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- Please watch: "5 major curses of the Mahabharata | Hindu Mythology | Oracle Talks #38" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WfzhRSvf9QQ -~-~~-~~~-~~-~-

Delphi, Greece: Spectacular Ancient Site
More info about travel to Delphi: https://www.ricksteves.com/europe/greece/delphi Ancient Delphi, perched high on the slopes of Mt. Parnassos, was not a city. It was the site of the oracle of Apollo, god of the sun. People would journey here from all over the known world to seek wisdom from the gods on vital affairs of state. Tourists today zig-zag up the ancient Sacred Way to the Temple of Apollo. The path is flanked by the remains of Delphi's famous treasuries — monuments erected by city-states in gratitude for the oracle's advice. Oedipus and the Riddle of the Sphinx - Greek Mythology - The Story of Oedipus Part 2/3
Greek Mythology: Oedipus and the Enigma of the Sphinx - The Story of Oedipus Part 2/3 Part 1 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dY-2yF69kb0 #GreekMythology #Mythology #SeeUinHistory #History #MythologyExplained #enigma Wiki: A sphinx is a mythical creature with the head of a human and the body of a lion. In Greek tradition, it has the head of a human, the haunches of a lion, and sometimes the wings of a bird. It is mythicised as treacherous and merciless. Those who cannot answer its riddle suffer a fate typical in such mythological stories, as they are killed and eaten by this ravenous monster. This version of a sphinx appears in the myth and drama of Oedipus. Unlike the Greek sphinx, which was a woman, the Egyptian sphinx is typically shown as a man . In addition, the Egyptian sphinx was viewed as benevolent, but having a ferocious strength similar to the malevolent Greek version and both were thought of as guardians often flanking the entrances to temples.
