Sea of Japan tsunami - 1983

01:40
On May 26, 1983 at 11:59:57 local time, a magnitude-7.7 earthquake occurred in the Sea of Japan, about 100 km west of the coast of Noshiro in Akita Prefecture, Japan. Out of the 107 fatalities, all but four were killed by the resulting tsunami, which struck communities along the coast, especially Aomori and Akita Prefectures and the east coast of Noto Peninsula. Footage of the tsunami hitting the fishing harbor of Wajima on Noto Peninsula was broadcast on TV. The waves exceeded 10 meters in some areas. Three of the fatalities were along the east coast of South Korea (whether North Korea was affected is not known).

5 Biggest Tsunami Caught On Camera

5 Mega Tsunami Caught On Camera — Enjoy the video. Rate, Comment, Share... Thanx For copyright matters please contact us at: [email protected] Tsunamis are giant waves caused by earthquakes or volcanic eruptions under the sea. Out in the depths of the ocean, tsunami waves do not dramatically increase in height. But as the waves travel inland, they build up to higher and higher heights as the depth of the ocean decreases. The speed of tsunami waves depends on ocean depth rather than the distance from the source of the wave. Tsunami waves may travel as fast as jet planes over deep waters, only slowing down when reaching shallow waters. While tsunamis are often referred to as tidal waves, this name is discouraged by oceanographers because tides have little to do with these giant waves. The 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami was triggered by a 9.3 magnitude earthquake with the initial surge wave of the tsunami measuring 33 metres. It was the largest earthquake-generated tsunami in history. Certain places in the world are subject to earthquakes and tsunamis more than others as there are only seven tectonic plates covering the earth and the borders of these plates lie in certain areas. 5 Things Found After Japanese Tsunami!

03:55
Japan is one of the most earthquake-vulnerable countries in the world. In 2011, an earthquake of a magnitude 9.0 hit the Pacific coast of Tohoku and the results were heartbreaking. One of the saddest things about tsunamis is the destruction that it leaves in its wake. There were over 15,000 deaths reported after the tragedy and more than 100,000buildings were collapsed. Property and life of biblical proportions were destroyed, and within this list, we are showing 5 Things Found After Japanese Tsunami! Ready? Well...Lets Begin. 1. Mysterious Unknown Creature After the 2011 Japanese tsunami, there was a mysterious animal-like creature that was washed ashore. The footage showing the whale-like creature was recorded and published by a survivor of the tragedy. People have been trying to identify what the animal or object is with very little success. Many of the people who were nearby did not want to risk their lives by moving closer and establishing what the object was. From a far, the object resembles a rock but on closer look it looks like the surface of a large whale.... 2. Japanese Dock In 2013, a large dock that was apparently washed away during the Japanese tsunami and was recovered in Washington’s Olympic coast. The 185 ton dock took officials of the Undersea Company several days to remove the dock that was filled with foam packing peanuts. This is just one of the four docks that had been reported missing from Misawa fishing port in Japan. Locals of Newport, Ore also reported having seen another dock that resembles the one discovered in Washington. 3. Survivor Hiromitsu Shinkawa Hiromitsu Shinkawa is a lucky man today. Two days after the deadly tsunami hit Japan, the 60 year old was discovered at sea clinging to the broken roof of his own home. The hasty decision that saw him go back to the house to collect a few belongings was what he says he regrets. Within minutes of being at the house, he was out in the waters trying to survive and clinging to his own roof. He was rescued by the maritime officials who were carrying out rescue operations. A photograph of the old man shows him atop the remains of his roof and waving a flag to the would-be rescuers. Unfortunately, his wife, with whom he was at the house is still missing. 4. Harley Davidson A Harley Davidson was discovered on the Canadian coast one year after the Tsunami hit japan. The owner of the bike, Ikuo Yokoyama, was also found thanks to the license plate number on the bike which was still clear despite the rust and unforgiving ocean currents. Peter mark, a Canadian, discovered the bike in a container at the beach together with other items and went on to take photos of it. He then left them there. He later went back to take the bike but discovered that the container had been washed away. Ikuo was more than excited at the discovery and wanted to thank the man who found the bike, although he lost the bike together with other family members during the tragedy. 5. Japanese Ghost Ship After the Japanese earthquake, it was estimated that over 22 million tons of debris were washed away into the sea. Included in this statistic is an old fishing ship that has come to be known as the Japanese ghost ship. It was discovered some 120 miles off the Canadian coast and the owner indeed confirmed that it was from japan. What stounds many people is the fact that after all the chaos and a year later, the ship is still intact and remains afloat. It is of course beat up but it still remains intact despite all the happenings. A lot of people cannot explain how and why it did not sink at the least. Ten-meter seawall breached and destroyed by tsunami

The residents of the fishing village of Ryoishi Japan believed their 30-foot seawall would protect them. It didn't. This video was condensed from several videos of raw footage taken during and after the March 11, 2011 tsunami. Below I added links to several tsunami relief funds. I didn't deeply research any of them, so if you donate do so with care. Seven years ago, massive waves crashed into coastal cities in Japan, killing over 20,000 people. Now the government is building huge concrete walls along parts of Japan's coast to protect it from tsunamis. But some say the new barriers are too high and could have an impact on tourism. Japan Earthquake Tsunami (FULL VIDEO) 2018

A Tsunami has been issued a greatness 7.3 tremor off the shoreline of Fukushima, Japan - home to the atomic power plant seriously harmed in the March 2011 'triple debacle.' "A 6.9-greatness tremor has been accounted for in Fukushima, Japan, as per the United States Geological Survey (USGS). Tremors from the quake could be felt as far away as Tokyo. Perilous wave waves are feasible for parts of Japan's east drift inside 300 kilometers (around 186 miles) of the quake's epicenter, the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said. There is no torrent risk to Hawaii." Japan Earthquake has been a dramatic event, hearts and prayers out to japan. Everyone please keep Japan in your Prayers tonight for the family's and victims of this tragic Japan Earthquake. #PrayForJapan Subscribe for more news - https://www.youtube.com/entvisual This material is under Creative Commons (CC BY) License from YouTube's own Creative Commons library, for more info on Creative Commons CC BY Licenses and what rights are included for others to reuse, check http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Creative_Commons_license Copyright Disclaimer: Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for "fair use" for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research. 11 Things Found After Japanese Tsunami

07:42
Some of the craziest things will wash up after a big storm like an entire yacht on top of a building and soccer ball across the country! Subscribe to Talltanic http://goo.gl/wgfvrr 6. A Japanese Dock This piece of debris happened to be part of a Japanese dock that was torn from its moorings during the tsunami and washed up on the shores of Oregon and brought back what researchers believe to be about 100 tons of sea life. Scientists from the Oregon State University state that the 66-foot-long deck has around 13 pounds of organisms per square foot. The dock did not show any signs of radiation from the Fukushima nuclear plant meltdown caused by the tsunami, but it did pose the threat of carrying invasive species. What that means is that these creatures that aren’t natives to the area could potentially throw the local ecosystems out of whack and cause irreparable damage to the native wildlife, such as the dread zebra mussel. 5. A Mystery Creature There have been some unusual things that have washed up on random shores after tsunamis, this being one of them. After the 2011 tsunami hit, this giant white mass had been washed out onto the shore of Japan and had many of the locals, along with everyone who watched this video on YouTube, wondering what it even was? Some thought it to be a brand new creature that had risen from the dark depths of the ocean floor while others speculated it was merely a large rock or boulder. Don’t worry, officials have concluded that this isn’t some new species that’s going to wipe us out. They simply stated that it’s most likely just a mass of whale blubber from the carcass of a dead whale that’s pretty much unrecognizable. 4. A Shipping Tote Back in November of 2014, this shipping tote had washed up near the shores of Seal Rock in Oregon. This 4-by-5 foot plastic shipping tote had been floating out at sea for the last 3 years since the tsunami struck and amassed around 200 blue mussels that were attached to it. Like the dock that was found in 2012, this tote was a potential host for carrying invasive species and scientist eventually determined it as a non-threat to the surrounding environment. Still, the amount of debris, the total estimated to be around 18.11 million tons with 70 percent of the debris sinking to the bottom of the ocean, is still rather high and is still washing up years after that tragic event took place. 3. Various Trash A barge from the fishing town of Ucluelet in British Columbia had carried in around “super sacks” of debris caused by the tsunami. Those sacks are designed to hold up to 1,000 pounds, so you can only imagine how heavy all that weight could possibly be. Ever since the tsunami struck, there have been volunteer pickups in the town where local and Japanese students have gotten involved. They’ve managed to collect all different sorts of garbage such as styrofoam, pieces of Japanese houses, and other debris. Though they’ve made progress, their results haven’t been achieved through smooth sailing. The coastline of Ucluelet is described as remote and rugged which made the cleanups very difficult and the fact that there was already debris unrelated to the tsunami already there makes for even more trash than expected. 2. An Entire Ship This yacht happened to be discovered in the Iwate Prefecture in Northeastern Japan in the town of Otsuchi nearly two months after the tsunami had hit. The ship weighs in at an incredible 200 tons and it’s a huge surprise that the two-story building that is supporting all that weight is still somehow managing to keep from collapsing. It’s hard to even process the amount of force needed to lift the ship. 1. A House As one of the most powerful and deadly disasters that can occur in nature, the tsunami is one that leaves devastation in its wake. Their sheer force can only be imagined by those who have never witnessed what it can be capable of at first hand and even then you can never come close to doing it justice. Take for example this house that was a part of the Fukushima debris. This was someone’s entire home where they built a life for themselves around it and in a matter of moments, it was swept off its foundation and carried out into the sea, along with what is estimated to be another 200,000 buildings.

Fresh footage of huge tsunami waves smashing town in Japan

01:53
As survivors of the Japanese earthquake and tsunami grappled with the enormity of the devastation, more footage emerged on Sunday showing the moment the tsunami struck Japan's northeast coast. Residents of the port town of Kamaishi in Iwate prefecture watched in horror as the first huge tsunami waves hit, sweeping away cars and buildings. One group managed to scramble to safety on higher ground, where they watched as the water surged towards them. Others were stranded on the roof of a multi-storey building as the water level rose rapidly below. Tsunami waves at sea footage captured by Coast Guard - March 11, 2011

01:02
沿岸警備隊が撮影した海の映像で津波の波 Japan: tsunami waves at sea footage captured by Coast Guard. Japan's Coast Guard has released terrifying footage of the deadly tsunami waves rolling toward the northeastern coast, where they wiped out entire towns and killed thousands. The video shows the waves rearing above the bow of the ship as the captain steers his vessel directly into the wave. The wave, which measured as much as 30 foot when it smashed into Japan's coastline, would have got bigger than it appeared in the video as it approached shallower coastal waters. The coast guard ship, the Matsushima, was operating 3 miles out at sea when it encountered the wave. Crew members can be heard on the video urging each other to hold on to something as the wave rolls in. Please watch: "Interesting facts about Coffee!! Most Valuable Coffee from Dung" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wHGpfQS-kDc -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- Today I am going to share the biggest tsunami in the world which is japan tsunami 2011. A tsunami triggered by a massive earthquake washed away buildings along the northeast coast of Japan. (March 2011). This tsunami monster was caught on camera . tsunami in japan is a common phenomenon. japan tsunami 2011 conveys a message to the world that human beings are helpless to the nature. A tsunami(plural: waves or tidal wave; from Japanese: lit. "harbor wave"; English elocution:/tsuːˈnɑːmi/ , otherwise called a seismic ocean wave, is a progression of waves in a water body brought about by the dislodging of a huge volume of water, for the most part in a sea or a substantial lake. Earthquakes, volcanic ejections and other submerged blasts (counting explosions of submerged atomic gadgets), avalanches, icy mass calvings, shooting star impacts and different unsettling influences above or beneath water all can possibly create a tsunami. Unlike ordinary sea waves which are produced by wind, or tides which are produced by the gravitational draw of the Moon and Sun, a wave is created by the relocation of water. Tsunami waves don't take after ordinary undersea streams or ocean waves, on the grounds that their wavelength is far longer.Rather than showing up as a breaking wave, a wave may rather at first take after a quickly rising tide, and therefore they are regularly alluded to as tsunamis, despite the fact that this use is not supported by established researchers since waves are not tidal in nature. Torrents by and large comprise of a progression of waves with periods going from minutes to hours, touching base in a supposed "interior wave train".[6] Wave statures of several meters can be created by expansive occasions. Despite the fact that the effect of waves is restricted to seaside ranges, their dangerous power can be colossal and they can influence whole sea bowls; the 2004 Indian Ocean wave was among the deadliest characteristic calamities in mankind's history with no less than 230,000 individuals murdered or missing in 14 nations flanking the Indian Ocean. Tsunami in japan, Destruction caused by tsunami, Greek student of history Thucydides recommended in his late-fifth century BC History of the Peloponnesian War, that torrents were identified with submarine earthquakes, however the comprehension of a wave's temperament stayed thin until the twentieth century and much stays obscure. Significant regions of momentum research incorporate attempting to decide why some huge seismic tremors don't produce tidal waves while other littler ones do; attempting to precisely conjecture the section of torrents over the seas; furthermore to figure how wave waves interface with particular shorelines Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j0YOXVlPUu4 Under creative common License Thumbnail credit : Toru Hanai Don't forget to share Like and comments.

TSUNAMI GHOST CREATURE CAUGHT ON TAPE - Real Or Fake?

06:14
In March of 2011, a massive 9.0 earthquake struck just off the coast of Japan. The quake created a tsunami that was so massive, it nearly wiped out dozens of coastal towns and killed over 16,000 people. _________________________________________________ LINKS: ThinkerThunker: https://www.youtube.com/user/ThinkerThunker Steve: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC5a-LvY-PPSfHNXjAP5j1jg Kyle Darkkova: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCUmiQHC55jCTQJ2PmJ2jOCw ______________________________________________________________ PEOPLE WHO SUBMITTED THIS VIDEO Marco Ferrier, Rob Clark, el Amor Alex,Iwan Bake Herrera, Spencer Paiement, Jakestermann Maxwell, Luca Blue, RuckASSGaming, Sheila Mendez, Sandy Roberts, Andrew Cousins, Miranda Wiggins, Rishabh Khanna Jael Borg, Junaid Shaikh, Jared Riley, David murrieta, Gareth POON, Vallhad, Darius 123, Bobby Mulla, Reyos HD, Victoria Butler, Leonardo Lombera Soto, Jenny McFarland, william phieter, Night Shade, Alae Adl, Hamish Berry, Marvin Gomez, Bryan HDGaming, Amine islam, Tobias Wejbora _____________________________________________________________ The massive wall of water uprooted homes, businesses, schools, automobiles, buses, trains and just about anything you can imagine. But according to some people, it also uprooted unknown creatures from the spirit world. This video, posted in numerous places around the internet, claims to show a strange unidentified creature emerging from the water and flying up over a building. It was submitted by Rob Clark, Sheila Mendez, and Grinchy Izzy just to name a few of the many people who sent this in. Grinchy Izzy wrote, Hey, Bill, I just watched this strange video and I want to know if it is real or fake? A quick search on google revealed hundreds of reports about this strange video, but no one including snopes dot com had examined it as a possible hoax. I knew it was was going to be a tough job, so I called on some of the best A team members I know - like ace researchers Steve from youtube channel Experimental & KYLE DARKKOVA. I also got in touch with ThinkerThunker, an animator who uses CGI software to examine paranormal videos. Steve examined the footage first and concluded it was just smoke coming from a bottle of natural gas that was ruptured in the event. Thinker Thunker however, didn’t totally agree with Steve. He accepted the fact that it looked like a gas… THINKER: but then why would the gas, that gather right at this spot take on a life of it’s own… it almost seems to have legs and arms etc. ThinkerThunker also performed what is known as a relief examination of the video. This is used to see if the creature was superimposed over into the video… THINKER - Bill if this was CGI, i would expect to see pixels here etc but I don’t see anything. So I don’t know. Ok…So it looks like a gas vapor, but it also seems to have a life of its own…this is a tough one. I think we need to do is drill down a little more and see if we can find out who made this video in the first place. Thanks to some excellent detective work by Kyle Darkova, we learned the man who shot the video is Kenichi Murakami. It was shot in Kesennuma city next to the Okawa river. KEN - We knew a tsunami was coming, we could feel it. Kenichi started recording his video next to the river, but as the water rose, he sought higher ground. KEN I was heading to the emergency staircase of the school…. Before heading to the school, however, his camera captured a different angle of the building where the unidentified creature was supposedly caught on camera. This different angle helps explain what was going on here and I think we have a decision….. But Before I tell you the official answer, I just want to say it was very hard watching a lot of this video and I’m very sorry for those who lost their property and loved ones in this horrific event! The wall of water that hit Kesennuma was over 12 meters (or 39 feet) high. Now, lets see what we have here. And it says, and i quote, the video of the tsunami recorded by Kenichi Murakami has been determined to be real, but the claim that his video captured an unidentified spirit of some sort is… not true. What we are looking at is unidentified vapor - nothing more. In the extra view of the building here, we can see the reason why the vapor would get hung up. From this angle we can see that the roof sticks out beyond the building’s walls. This overhang is the reason why the vapor slows and behaves oddly. First there is a upside down boat here and then there is a roof that overhangs the boat. In between we see these open areas which would have air currents. These currents and the overhang of the roof above the yellow boat would slow down the vapors rise and cause it to behave oddly.
