The only way I could ever see that using a gun in each hand would be even remotely as close to as effective as single firearm, would be in extreme close situations where one (probably the off-hand) or both weapons were equipped with lasers to assist with point shooting, and multiple assailants were flanking you from opposite directions. Even then, you are probably better off with just a single pistol, clearing one side, and then focusing on weapon retention and clean shots once set upon by the assailants on the other side.

Put a laser on it will help. Still might not be the best idea.

We have 5 of those Berettas at the pawn shop I work at. Haven't sold one of them in 2yrs. Non practical guns for non practical situations I guess.
Gun Nuts Media (1 year ago)
Colton Defelippo Yeah...like I said, the sort of people who buy guns from a pawn shop (lol) probably don’t appreciate the advantages a lightweight DA/SA firearm offers.
Colton Defelippo (1 year ago)
Gun Nuts Media they are PX4 storms. I've never once gotten a glock comparison. I open the Beretta case daily to grab one of the Sig Ps behind them. I'm from the south 90% of our clients are pretty good about picking their edc. No matter how much I show those berettas, they just dont sell.
Gun Nuts Media (1 year ago)
Colton Defelippo The PX4 Compact Carry hasn’t been out for two years, so it would be quite impossible for you to have had five of them for that long. Perhaps you meant you have 5 PX4 Storms, which I’d believe. Also, it’s quite likely that the reason they don’t sell at your shop is because the sort of people who buy guns from pawn shops don’t really appreciate the value of a Glock-sized DA/SA pistol.

Mythbusters did a segment on this. Their results were even worse than yours. Probably because those two guys are not shooters. Here's the link: https://www.discovery.com/tv-shows/mythbusters/videos/two-guns-two-targets-minimyth

I carry a full size PX4 in the 45. I’m looking at the compac PX4 storm for an ankle concealed. Nice shooting.

I love the comment you made, " I killed him to death" LOL back to the 2 gun thing, unless you train with two a lot, and I mean a shit ton shooting two guns at once is a Hollywood stunt used just because some director or story writer thinks it looks cool. But I will be using the "I killed him to death" every time I can insert that into a conversation.

2 guns at once? Larry Fishburne in "King Of New York"

What I learned is that if I am a bad guy it is best to rush Caleb from the left side while my buddy takes the lethal hits.
Dale Crummie (1 year ago)
The only time I've ever been able to pull this off is with a pair of Colt SAA revolvers when SASS first started up, got pretty good at it, and then they banned doing it.
Bret Baker (1 year ago)
I like learning from someone that knows what the hell they are doing. The only shooting I get to do is at my moms when there is a squirrel on the bird feeder or a cat in the yard. I don't kill the cats, I just knock the fuzz off their tail. The squirrels are toast.

What you are referring to, in short terms, or in gamer terms is "Dual Wielding" or the dual wield.
Yeah it's me. (1 year ago)
Do the REALLY outrageous Hollywood one, two guns two targets one left one right....Ah, yeah...Lol
Allen Gilder (1 year ago)
1 that gets my goat is silenced revolvers
TheEVilleKid (1 year ago)
Allen Gilder well they do make silenced revolvers/silencers for revolvers.

If FPSRussia can duel wield AA-12s surely two 9mm handguns aren't that hard.
TheEVilleKid (1 year ago)
PromiserOfDeath2 AA-12s are known for having basically no recoil, and pistols have a lot more muzzle flip than massive, clunky AA-12s.
crockett616 (2 years ago)
That is seriously the nicest looking range I've seen

2 quick comments. watching the beginning of your video, it was apparent that hollywood uses far superior firearms than you do, theirs has absolutley no recoil. in hollywood the bad guys always have horrible aim. never able to hit the hero, even with automatic rifles, whereas the hero always kills the bad guy from 50 yards away using a revolver or sub-compact 7 shot semi-auto. rarely ever watch movies, hollywood has no imagination anymore. i enjoy your videos, keep up the good work. thanks

great video. thanks

I think the most effect thing to do in this situation is to ask politely the silhouette on the left to grow a few inches or to stand on his tip toes.
superkjell (2 years ago)
You need to repeat the test with two of those arsenal twin 1911s...
Christoffer Keizer (2 years ago)
Two guns in each hand would certainly be cumbersome.

How much would training specifically with two guns change the accuracy and time?
Joe Ierulli (2 years ago)
Gun Nuts Media That makes sense and I agree that one gun is better. That said I wasn't asking which is better. I was merely asking if someone put as much effort into training with two guns as you have and continue to put into training with one gun if that person could reasonably expect to get more accurate and quicker hits? I completely agree that one gun is exceptionally more practical and effective. More than anything I am merely posing a thought experiment. If you want to be scientific about it, then you need to consider the variables. Love your videos and think you do an awesome job illustrating your points. This video is not an exception to that. It absolutely follows that. I am simply asking about a variable that I feel warrants at least some thought if nothing else. I sincerely appreciate your time that you have and may give to my query.
Gun Nuts Media (2 years ago)
Joe Ierulli The big problem with firing two guns at once is that your eyes can really only focus on one thing at one time. So while I was able to get hits firing both guns at the same time, I was really only aiming the gun at one of the targets, and the other one was just close range point shooting. I'd much rather get good hits on target firing one gun.
Deuz_Ex_Machina _42 (2 years ago)
What if there's multiple attackers? That's my main concern. Does it take muscle memory to aim while looking down one gun's sights and know how to aim the other gun?
Gun Nuts Media (2 years ago)
Deuz_Ex_Machina _42 if there are multiple attackers it's still faster to shoot them with one gun.
kurvaonwheels (2 years ago)
Check Vitaly Kryuchin's videos. He may be the exception to the rule.

Hollywood is dumb.
mozzberg (2 years ago)
I'm sure with practice, and nothing but shooting two guns at once, you could do better.
velvet Brick (2 years ago)
Hollywood is ridiculous & so is two guns @ Once.
Bryon Ensminger (2 years ago)
you can only ame one of them at a time and you lose time as you switch between sights
TheEVilleKid (1 year ago)
Bryon Ensminger a good pair of lasers remove a need for true sight picture
Pete Peters (2 years ago)
I just love your videos, especislly how you put things through the paces and using different peripherals. Vet to vet, keep up the good work.
