getfitover40. You must NEVER put ice on your skin for more than 10 minutes at a time. It will permanently kill the skin and never grow back.. That's how people lose their limbs, fingers and toes to frostbite when they go mountain climbing or to very icy areas.

Serving in the US Marine Corps was very physically demanding, no regrets, but
since leaving physical work-outs are difficult to comeby due to the civilian paced
life; where work-outs and such was the job & lifestyle. Great tips!!

I think heat works faster, cause I have IBS, and I always put a heating pad on my abdomen when I have attacks. These attacks last sometimes up to two weeks or longer. I noticed that when I was applying the heat 3 or 4 times a day for about 20 minutes, that my belly fat would disappear. If you can't stand ice on your belly, you might want to try the heat.
There is a lot of research on Cold Thermogenesis. Yes, it is a thing, and it does work. But there are better ways to get the benefits than strapping ice packs to your body. Taking cold showers is a good way to start, then you can graduate into taking ice baths. I practice the Wim Hof Method which incorporates breathing techniques, Cold Thermogenesis and meditation. Some research indicates positive benefits from temps starting around 50 degrees F, that's cold shower territory depending on where you live and what time of year it is. Then you could throw some ice in your bath tub, making it colder still.
Those methods don't actually kill the fat cells. They work by simulating the bodies heat regulation system, you burn more calories trying to warm up. Cold sculpting actually freezes the cell and it dies, then your body removes it.
The body adapts it works but in the end your body gets use to the cold. I took cold/ice baths for 3 years everyday. I can now get hard in a cold shower or even ice on top of my testicles or penis. Just DO KETO
+Angela C I know Angela. Thanks for the word violation ticket. Seriously though, ice packs always cause temporary local effects that are beneficial for occasional edema and or pain control. "Killing fat cells" repeatedly until the body stops depositing fat in that area is probably not healthy, long term. The fact that ice is a natural agent like light, sound, heat, and pressure has little to do with it. Now, I'm just implying your next attack on my judgment.
+Liz Butt I'm suggesting a keto diet. You lose fat from everywhere. Real weight lose is simple when you understand why and how the body stores fat in the first place. The key is insulin production. Minimize insulin and lose weight. It's how our bodies were made to work. Forget all the gimmicks. You shouldn't even kill yourself at the gym in an effort to lose weight. Sure, exercise for the sake of fitness but drop fat by knowing how your body works.
You should just go for the "lifestyle lift", gives the chin area a good lift in an out- patient procedure that you can do during a lunch hour break...seen some nice results in people who've had this done...
My first DIY Icesculpting was Yesterday it made me pee alot, I work out 6 days a week I have stubborn low abdomen belly fat that i plan to freeze the ( F ) out of it 😂 Hopefully besides getting rid of the fat it can help me tighten that area, will 👀.
Thanks for the information! Brown fat is brown because it has more blood vessels connected to it. white fat cells have fewer blood vessels and are less accessible. Yes, drinking cold water helps. Also more water will produce more brown fat and less white fat. It works because without enough water, the body has a mechanism to shut down blood vessels when water is low. This is to keep blood pressure stable. With fewer blood vessels, brown fat cells (which need more blood supply) disappear. Drink more water to increase brown fat and decrease white fat.

Unfortunately people are not use to seeing lean healthy people these days and so everyone that is lean and fit must be using some sort of exogenous substance. Watch some of my earlier videos when I was 20+ pounds lighter and undeniably not using steroids and I still had veins popping out of my skin. getfitover40 I have watched movies from the 1940's on a Blu-Ray player that converts 24 fps to 60 fps. It actually creates intermediate frames. It makes the old film look like an old videotape. I hate it.
No offence taken, wasn't sure what you meant. I agree we are use to movies filmed in lower frame rates, I believe "film" is 24 frames per second but now with digital recording it may be higher? 29-30 frames per second. I personally like the smoothness 60 frames offers and feel it looks more like being there in person. Our brains automatically add motion blur when an object is moving fast even if it is not there in the video but most of my videos are pretty static anyway without a lot of motion going on. I think it comes down to personal opinion here, some people will like more fluid video and some people will like the standard 30 or less frames since it what they are more use to.
Diet doesn't work. I don't care what anyone says. Eating 2k cal a day i get fat. 1k a day still fat, 500cal a day for weeks still fat but very hungry. Veggies, Lean meats and some carbs. Diet is a myth.

David Dahl are you on any sleeping medications? I've heard of people sleep-eating while on meds. They had unexplained weight gain and no idea why. Turned out they were binge-eating 2000-4000 calories a night several times a week! Strangest thing, they ate whatever they could cram into their mouths. Cookies cakes ice cream. Frozen uncooked pizza, raw dough, even flour or bread crumbs. For some it was just another form of sleepwalking, others it was medication. Like people who would get up and go driving while on Ambien.
You wouldn't be the first, believe me, I get that a lot online and at the doctors. I don't think it'll kill me, I read a study done where they allowed a patient only water and vitamin every day for a year. The patient lost weight but remained healthy.
You'd get much better results with Laser Liposuction directly under your chin area. The results would be much more targeted and accurate. Putting large ice packs over your entire jawline will also reduce the fat directly over your jawbone, which will cause your jawbone to protrude making you look very gaunt and unhealthy. Laser Lipo will only get rid of the double chin fat leaving your jaw area untouched. It also tightens the skin as the fat is being removed. My advise, don't let anyone but a certified plastic surgeon touch your face. Keep ice away from your face bro.
you can make your very own ice packs with ziplock bags... fill with 1/4 rubbing alcohol and 3/4 water zip up shake to mix and freeze ...the rubbing alcohol doesn't allow the water to completely solidify into ice just like an ice pack ...thank you pinterest : )
